I thought as long as it doesnt rub your good. The only thing I thought was illegal was the bottom of your car cant be lower than your rim(Which mine is oopps, time to get bigger rims). I really hope I dont get hassled about the fender gap thing either.

Tchleung 06-30-2005 06:29 PM

It was a joke. lol he meant he got a warning for having wheel gap since I said, "Yeah last time I checked, wheel gap was illegal"

RRxtar 06-30-2005 07:37 PM

your headlights cant be below 56cm or something like that

2.5FearFactory 07-01-2005 08:55 AM

yeah I think it's the center of your headlights have to be 56cm from the ground...there are all sorts of rules about min/max bumper and headlight heights. Yes, nothing can be lower than your rim, and I'm pretty sure they have rules on how much you're allowed to alter your suspension (I've heard 3 inches) and how much minimum suspension travel you're supposed to have.

down_hill_dog 07-01-2005 10:47 AM

if you let all the air out of your tires no part of the frame can touch pavement. That is one thing police always tried to bust me on when i hade my prelude. one actually tried to let air out my tires because he thought my car was too low even though i had a VI Paper saying my car was legal.

2.5FearFactory 07-01-2005 11:04 AM

yeah I know....and that's actually one of the most sensible of the VI rules...it's basically so if you blow a tire your car doesn't start skidding around on random shit underneath it but will continue to somewhat roll on your rim. Makes sense.

Yeah...VI papers are useless, they're just so your car's allowed back on the road; other than that they're not proof of anything :(....for one thing I've known TONS of vehicles that passed on a "here's a case of beer, sign the papers" basis, and you can get a VI on your way home from the shop (I've known minitruckers who've had that happen haha).

fourtirefire 07-03-2005 10:31 PM

today, and yesterday's mods:
found out that my supposedly good plug wires were to blame for the backfiring situation, so ditched those for some bosch lifetime warranty blingers..

then tested for boost leaks.. found out my injector seals were leaking baddly, threw in some new o-rings.. stopped that leak, and pressure tested the system.
threw back on the factory exhaust manifold heat sheild, figured it would save a few underhood components from meltage.

and then of course some fuel tuning... seems to pull better now, but we'll see what the numbers say this weekend....

SpooSports 07-04-2005 10:41 PM

MOunted 35 inch all terrains on buddys shitty stock rims and threw em on, i cant handle driving my boggers on the road so much when its so hot. thell be gone soon. fuck the trucks ugly now tho

bluebomber85 07-06-2005 12:03 AM

down_hill_dog 07-06-2005 07:46 AM

thanks guys.. I'll have to get a better pic so that you can see how they actually look. They are really a gorgeous wheel in bronze, i've been looking for them for quite some time. Tires are a little small though. Theyre 195 50 15 goodyear eagle gs's. In the future i'll put a 5mm spacer behind each one with a set of 205 50 15's and it will be perfect.

This time get longer studs so you don't break them.

down_hill_dog 07-06-2005 07:01 PM

it is planned, but for a 5 mm these studs should be long enough..

Mod of tonight, Increased frotn shock travel without gaining ride height
