modded a new grab for the ass of the ltr. its a sweet pro-armor race bar. things huge. i dont think it is going to like drunken wheelies haha

The remainder of my parts showed up on thurs, and I went to work. Left to do... Put the bumpers on, Paint the blue on the wheels red, Paint the interior black and dye the seats black.

This has been quite the endeavor and to be honest the body was rougher than I expected when I got into it. By this I mean previous damage and rust hidden under old Bondo. So a lot of it I just scuffed it painted it and said screw it. I'm not trying to make it a show car anyways, just a badass drivers car.

Installed a bigger boost gauge again... 35psi wasn't enough, so I had to go with a 60 :scared

dropped the tank on the b2200, repaired the leak, removed the pump and went and got a new pump for it. Ah, and got 21 stitches doing so.

Mod of the day:

24,000 km service on the speed3. I figured it is broken in by now, so it got the 5w30 Royal Purple treatment. When oil is in there for nearly10,000 km.. It better be good oil, and KM-Mazda was just going to put Gun 5w30 Crude in.

Can't say I notice a difference right now, but maybe come 180,000 km I will?

The Beetle got it's regular 5000 km oil change with Havoline 20w50, which is factory reccomended. She burns a little oil, but I don't honestly think a rebuild is going to happen until next spring. Easiest car i've EVER worked on.

Very easy to do an engine rebuild too.

Yeah i'm not down with the whole ratting out a single panel on an otherwise nice car. If it's going to be a rat, the whole thing better be dirtyhawt. Although, the rusty roof rack with wood slats is on order :thumbsup: Next order of business is a motor build and a engine cover lift. Make it dirty fast. lol

Yeah i've been on some of the dubdub boards cruisin. Mainly the Samba though, learning a thing or two about these cars that are twice my age. I dont know what it is about these things though, they are addicting little cars and have a real personality to them.. I'm officially hooked.

The Samba is aircooled heaven on the net haha...

And yeah, there's something about VWs and especially aircooleds that's awesome...I'd love to get my hands on a Type 3 square or notch...I got my g/f addicted to the ORIGINAL Herbie movies and now she's all on board with getting an old Beetle and making a 53 clone one day :D

On another note...I sold my Zukini...not sure how I feel about it...good to finally be down to 2 vehicles, and I LOVE my GTX...but the ol' Zuk and I had some wicked times from the top of Northern Alberta to Montana and from the Pacific Ocean to Saskatoon and everywhere in between

Finally got the s10 going. Had a few wires that had been melted by the headers and grounded out. So upon having my dodge at OTP cuz of a super warped exh mani I had no tools except what was in my storage. So had a buddy give me a ride to my locker grabbed everything I thought needed. Forgot soldering gun and solder wire strippers and decent wire. So having to use what I could find in the s10 and in my room I used amp 8g wire and 12g speaker wire. Got it done.

Other note the dodge is getting a 2 piece exh to prevent warping. Should help put down a couple ex hp cuz my orig was causing major flow probs weeeee

The beets saw new points/condensor yesterday, and a new set of Brazilian seat covers IN BLACK. now shes all black and white.

So had the s10 at 3* advanced timing for nitrous. This was being ex conservative cuz I was still really unfamiliar with it. Now the truck has 10* base timing and spins tires much nicer.
