Went for drive and blew off a fucking charge pipe... that was only 15 psi. Not fun being stuck out in Knutsford with no tools... I had to use a washer as a flathead screwdriver.

^ time for some constant-torque hose clamps.

Modded myself a 27mpg tank of fuel, not bad for a V8.

Slo40 05-15-2008 06:36 AM

Are you talking about T-bolts or some other type of clamps?

Welp modded a freaking expensive oil change and fuel filter. $226 for syn oil and fuel filter, when I saw her list to choose from I thought it was only $24 more for syn oil so I said sure, it was freakin 75bux more plus I had to pay for the oil filter, bogus crap.

Did some weight mods to the diesel, removed my wood box liner because Line-X is much more bling, then modded a slip tank and pump. Oh and I have an appointment tomo for my front windows to get tinted, was an expensive day.

Modded some Deatschwerks 810cc injectors for the new monster turbo system.

OffroadZuki 05-21-2008 04:15 PM

Snorkle the fucker ^^ or ditch the airbox and throw on a cone filter. Makes those things a little more lively.

Upgraded to I-extreme, I "think" i may have noticed a difference already, time will tell.

OffroadZuki 05-21-2008 09:12 PM

haha no, thanks...I like having a reliable daily with great gas mileage that I don't have to have someone following to pick up the parts it ditched ;)

I got the K&N 'cuz it was 5 bucks CHEAPER than the crappy Fram woulda been....it has a few more mods, but mostly for safety reasons (better wipers, PIAA headlights, that sort of thing)...as long as it's my daily and/or as long as I put the kinda kms I'm putting on it, she's gonna be a practical mostly stocker :)

Recharged the A/C in the GTR YaY! It's so annoying having the windows down when going vroom.

OffroadZuki 05-24-2008 06:31 PM

pish posh...windows down is the best way to go :D

Slo40 05-24-2008 10:23 PM

Friday Night: modded 2 brand new Mevotech axles onto the rear of the 240.

Saturday (less than 24 hours later): destroyed 1 of the 2 axles on the first launch on the Hoosiers at the strip... :rant

It gets a little windy and noisy at excessive speeds.

_mIkE_89 05-25-2008 06:29 PM

netfreak 05-25-2008 10:36 PM

OH DUDE! Are you OK otherwise? When I ditched my bike I broke L1-L5 vertebrae when my body hit the tree stump.

Hope you have a fast recovery.

Big Daddy 05-26-2008 03:21 PM

I missed the tree...by how much I don't know...Dislocated and Fractured my right ankle,
sprained my left...finding it extremely difficult to use crutches as it hurts to put my weight on my left ankle and it's excruciating to put weight on the right.

jeffh 05-26-2008 04:28 PM

holy carp man. glad you made it out as well as you did methinks

fourtirefire 05-26-2008 05:42 PM

girlcrazy_420 05-26-2008 05:58 PM

RRxtar 05-26-2008 07:33 PM

aw shit buddy!! hope you heal up soon. i didnt know you bought an 08?

Big Daddy 05-27-2008 10:37 AM

Gravel was key...been riding for 3 years, and bought the '08 3 weeks ago...

Edit: Just talked to the boys at the Suzuki shop, bike has mashed gas tank, snapped off handle bars, tweaked front and rear frame sections, bird cage is pooched, couple of bodyparts (sides and tail) are fubared, looks to be a complete write-off.

RRxtar 05-27-2008 08:03 PM

i know someone who might buy it off of you depending if it makes more sence for you finantially

Dirt Rider 05-27-2008 09:17 PM
