This thing has 48,000km's on it and has sat in our shed for the past 12years. It was parked in running condition, but non drivable shape. Someone had pulled it apart so it sat there on the floor in pieces. Pulled the carb, cleaned it out. Drained the tank, fresh gas and oil. Put air in the tires, new drivebelt from yamaha (waste of $80) and new clutch bearings. The plug still had spark, so I sat there with a car battery for 10mins cranking it over while putting gas down the carb till she fired. She drives! Top speed of 45kph and about 5kph up-hill.

Bought a van for a 12pack, so i've decided that I'm going to drive it till it drops a rod. Sounds like a wrist pin is about to blow. Heavy knocking, but apparently its been like this for 2 years. Did a filterless oil change. 20w50 tech2000 and a bottle of lucas. That'll fix them fords!

whitetalon 04-18-2008 06:12 AM

turner492 04-18-2008 09:59 PM

zumvette 04-28-2008 08:30 PM

Replaced back brakes on the quad today. Pads and rotor. Bled brakes, tightened the hub on the driver side rear and replaced the battery. Did an oil change about 2 weeks ago and only has about 10 hours on it so I should be good for a few rides til something breaks.

RRxtar 04-28-2008 08:36 PM

rewired the trailer wiring on the heep on saturday. what a mickey mouse job it was before. now i have more than just a left blinker on the trailer!

Delerious 04-29-2008 01:13 PM

tore the Z down to the lower intake plenum then realized i have no seals for my injectors so i couldn't finish fabbing up my fuel rails... booooo

Thought I'd try painting the bathroom, first time rolling paint on anything aside from it coming out of a spray can. Turns out I am no good at painting and I shouldn't have attempted this. The bathroom was this hideous puke orange, everything was coated. walls, door, molding, ceiling, bathtub and cupboards. I busted out the Lime green paint and started to go at it. Covering dark walls with light paint? Ha, not gonna happen. I swear there is armour all on the walls also; as the damn paint is not sticking in spots. Meanwhile I'm covered in paint from it dripping from the ceiling, and the brush was constant drips onto the floor. ACK what a fucking mess.

underscore 05-04-2008 04:36 PM

I'm guessing you didnt clean the walls first...

proshoraca 05-05-2008 06:40 PM

of course there is armour all on the walls. any hair spray or perfume or body spray that has been sprayed in that room(not likely ) will remain on the wall. you must clean it with some tsp and wash it down with cold water probably 3 times, and then paint it. especially a bathroom where chemicals are being sprayed around 2 or 3 times per day.

Modded some gnarly paddles to my quad today. Holy traction batman, like catwalking up almost straight up hils. I really wish I had brought my camera to hinton. Like 100ft elev climbs just right leaned over the handle bars to climb. Lugs I think are bout 1 1/4" high, really good for spraying your buddies, lol.

finally got around to putting a plate on the GTR... pulled the thermostat out and went for a 40km drive.

girlcrazy_420 05-12-2008 05:53 PM

Been fighting with the f150 all morning. Problems getting the transmission in. Everything seems lined up but I cant get it past the pilot bearing. Not sure what else I can do; laying on the ground for 3 hours and accomplishing nothing isnt in my best interest of things to do. No truck for May long by the looks of it.

netfreak 05-12-2008 11:20 PM

Hood scooped the firebird. This thing sure gets around... third vehicle I've installed it on.

OffroadZuki 05-13-2008 02:45 PM

w00t...Zuk's getting a fresh synthetic oil change as we speak (I usually do it myself, but for 29.99 for a synth oil change, it's cheaper to let them do it :D)
