Thought the cv axle on the honda was blown because it'll drive sometimes... but othertimes it dosnt and I can push the car while its in gear and there is no friction. Pulled it out and its good... so I pulled the other side and its good also. I cant say that I really want to do a tranny swap but I guess thats what has to be done. Hopefully picky has a good SI tranny. |
Lowered my car a bit more, happy with the stance, check picture thread for pics. |
Swapped in a prelude trans, what a waste of my days off. |
pass side rear axle shaft, was bent, good used in, bent for spare had to take the springs out of the locker to get the C-clips out to take the axle out, not gonna be fun if i have to do on the trail thats for sure |
Put in the Mishimoto rad and hoses, new OEM thermostat, new coolant. Insurance onto the Miata, grin onto my face. |
nothing like taking her for the first spin after a long hiatus. greg let me drive his little rocket last night, man i miss quik cars |
Modded new hood, new nose panel/grills, repainted front bumper as well, and a new rear spoiler... |
modded an edge evolution programmer into the truck today I figure what I'll save in fuel economy will pay for itself over time. |
oil change to Amsoil full synthetic <--- holy shit its getting expensive! coolant flush to Amsoil Propelene Glycol coolant solo seat cowl to replace that godaweful passanger seat. cleaned up the ass end so much! prepped bike for valve job |
Finally located and picked the Mazda up a ecu. Seems to run good so almost time to swap the insurance over. |

You notice much as of yet? |
^ ahha it sounds cooler, but somehow it also turned into a 3 hour spark plug install, which was much needed after he got the old plugs out, they were fucked |
Yeah, the electrodes were worn quite a bit, very little left of it causing the gap to be waaay too wide. Sure you can get 100,000 km out of a set of platinum plugs, but it will start running rough around 75,000 with normal wear. |
Finally got around to putting in the stereo in the Baby hauler. Built some fiberglass pods for 5" Phoenix gold Titanium elite woofers in the dash. 6.5" Focal midbass drivers in the doors and a 12" PG Titanium elite subwoofer. Only regret is not getting a double din dvd player. Not liking the fold out one much. Going to do the magnaflow exhaust, HID foglights, and swap over to summer tires tonight. Man I should really get my shit together and focus on the GTR... meh too much to do... I think I'll just wait a year and pay a shop to do everything. |
new upper control arms, tie rod ends and finally matching steering knuckles, cars goin in for alignment 2morrow and den im mountin da rimz. |
I was going to sell the 4runner but I figured its so much damn fun that I'm going to put it in storage until may long. This'll give me time to put a new rear diff in, ditch the carpet, mount the ecu higher up and a pcv snorkle. Time to rock the b2200 Edit: I retract that statement. Took the b2 for a spring cruise and something still isnt right. Im about to give up on it. I've swapped in 4 ecu's, 2 maf's, fuel pump, 02, and misc tune up shit yet the truck still randomly sputters or shuts off when warm. FUCK IT Mabye the honda wants to go on the road. |
If you get sick of the b22 gimme a shout. I'd like a project truck :) |
I hear a sbc fits in a b2. Would be fun. Modded some paint to the ltr. Painted the exhaust guard and front bumper black to match the quad. |
wrapped other exhaust manifold, removed ecu to install tuning device, realized tuning device didn't come with all pieces required. |
Does this mean that the nis-slow will be operational soon higgy??? |
no, it does not. |
