awsome choice..

Thanks guys :). On another note, someone made an un-authorized mod to my Dodge while it was at the shop, they stole the light bar with 4 forward facing 6" (i think) chrome housing lights and 2 rear facing 4" chrome lights.

zumvette 10-14-2008 06:26 PM

Sorry to hear about the mods to dodge. On another note, you can look forward to 14mpg in the 6L (ahem)powerstroke. How many km on it? At least you have the coil front end unlike the my bro's with leafs up front. They turn much better with coils.

Big Daddy 10-17-2008 04:46 PM

A whopping 232,000km on this beast...all the "fun" stuff has been done

girlcrazy_420 10-23-2008 08:03 PM

The milage is getting up there for an 05' ^

Replaced the lower balljoints and new swaybar bushings. Still a little bit of noise in the front so looks as if I may need to replace the uppers also.

girlcrazy_420 10-28-2008 01:14 PM

Just lost another 3" of ground clearance installing recovery points.

OffroadZuki 10-29-2008 02:54 PM

232K on an '05...jesus on a pogo stick!!! oh...plus I wouldn't want your gas bills ;) haha

I modded some Amsoil synthetic oil and a K&N oil filter onto the Zuk...w00t!

zumvette 10-29-2008 07:12 PM

232km on an '05 isnt that crazy. if it was bought in '04 then thats 4yrs, sure its 80k.yr but for someone that takes alot of road trips it doesnt take to long. I have put on like 30k on my truck and got in march i think, and the first few months i barely drove was working a ton. since all the stuff has been done its probably a northern/patch truck or toy hauler/family vechile

Big Daddy 10-29-2008 09:57 PM

by "fun" stuff I meant: Heads, Crank position sensor...that stuff...

zumvette 11-04-2008 08:28 PM

So I ordered some gaskets for the quad today for when I do a P&P. Also ordered a powercommander and "special" K&N. Still deciding which cam I am going to order but by then I should have everything else for when that shows up.

Once everything is in it will be heading to the dyno, haha.

girlcrazy_420 11-05-2008 10:00 AM

Made up a intake so I could remove the 3 silencers.

4runner

So power commander 3 and new intake setup are in. Going to have fun reading on tuning tomo. When I get a cam it will be off for dyno tuning. All this money to gain lil hp, freakin rediculous. $700+dyno for 9hp, maybe 10hp. But then my quad should haul some serious ass.

zumvette 11-10-2008 10:56 PM

So installed the new custom intake setup with K&N filter and installed the Powercommander. Now searching for a map to download from fellow ltr450r riders.

girlcrazy_420 11-10-2008 11:49 PM

Dropped a rear heating coolant line 20+k into the bush having to refill the rad with snow many times

i got 11hp on the bike out of filter, gutted airbox, velocity stacks, akropovic evolution full exhaust, PC3 and dyno tuning. retail on what i did was about $3k. haha thank god i barely spent half of that

RRxtar 11-11-2008 06:38 PM

Ya but you have more cc's and more hp to start with. You gained like 10% peak but rideability probably went thru the roof. The stock airbox on my quad is SUPER restrictive pulling the lid and tricking the map sensor gains like 5hp. But after cam and dynoing it hp becomes very expensive. Guys with stroker big bore setups big valves big porting big cams make 62-64hp so I will be very happy with my low-mid 50 hp set up.

honduhman 11-14-2008 02:50 PM

a shiny holley fuelpump and turned my fuel pump in the tank into a regular pickup.

RRxtar 11-23-2008 07:14 PM

the problem: dull, pitted, faded, scratched, yellowed, and oxidized headlights with 1 burnt out bulb.

the fix: wet sanded with 600, 1000 and 2000 grit. followed by rubbing compound. followed by clear plastic polish. add a pair of silverstar ultra bulbs

the result: glorious headlight brightness!
