Trust me, I've contemplated but it wont be SBC. HO302 sitting at my parents with my name on it but i'll still need a 9" rear. My dad decided to go with the 351c instead. :D The truck is a rare 2.2 multiport fuel injection so I'd rather not chop it up. I'd rather chop up a carburated truck and start a new project, afterall I need something to practice my 240v arc welding skills on and I'm sure it wont look pretty first go. |

come take mine away, saves me a trip to the dump haha it works fine, i just got a newer one off Ash for free |
already got one thanks, my rents just upgraded to stainless, and the old one is only 4yrs old. |
new transfercase yesterday. new drag link, tie rod, and all 4 ends today. also new passanger seatbelt. new driveshaft tomorrow or monday. |
removed rear interior/rear shocks. started removing taillights but the butyl tape wasn't having the 0* temps. installed tuning chip into ecu, all ready to hook up to the lappy and start tuning. once engine is not in pieces that is lol! |
Got another truck today. Some guy posted a running/driving s15 for free on castanet and I was one of the many lucky callers who got it. Its a 1989 s15 4x4 with what I think is a 2.8 It came with a 3" body lift, VERY well built skidplate and winch bumper, along with a baby winch. Runs well with no exaust leaks and has new tires on it. Interior is fucked and the back glass is smashed, along with grinding rear shoes and the lights done work... but hey, all it cost me was $27 for a permit, $10 in gas and I had to drive it down from Joe Rich and its perfect for may long mudbogs. Pics in the photo thread |
^ looks like your luck finally turned around a bit. |
dont be fooled, its gonna get burried up the roof in postil, and some poor bastard that feels sorry for him with a nice truck will break something trying to yank it out and it will all turn into an ugly mess as well |
so sunday JeffH, Danny, and I went out wheeling to try out my new transfercase. and i broke a swaybar end link doing poser flexing on tree stumps. so today I bought a 2" lift and swaybar disconnects. going in tomorrow |
Hey adam, here's another truck for you to mod into your posession. The only catch is you have to drive out to the island to get it. http://www.usedvictoria.com/classified-ad/8873973 Oh yeah, I should mention I modded a black polymer tool box into my box the other day, sure needed the extra storage, plus it even has cupholders! |
thats a decent platform to start from... damn i need more space |
what exactly is an 87 grand cherokee when they didnt come out until 93 and i dont know that jeep ever had a 4.3L engine. and the thing had to be gone a month ago so i dont think its still available |

87.... renix = scary and if its a 4.2 then its still carbed even scarier |
in any case. jeffh and i realized today that anything to do with working on a jeep, always... ALWAYS involves an angle grinder and a 4lb sledge hammer and a little bit of FML. |
the motor swap is gonna be really really ugly FML |
Modded some 15x3.5 skinnies rolling on Hoosiers to the front of the 240 yesterday. |
Going to be modding my stock front sprocket back onto the ltr. Stock is a 14 tooth and currently has a 13, and putting on 18" tires vs the 20" on now. Also going to be modding a tether kill switch and some number plates for my first race on sunday. I have not been training just was a last minute thing to do cuz our trip to idaho got postponed again :( hopefully I don't break anything major (y) |
finally got my 240 making boooost :) |
Went out the the garage popped the hood and seen the huge gaping hole where the engine is supposed to be. Goddamn it's going to be a long summer. |
Got the car painted yesterday, Bumpers and the pieces to finish the puzzle should be here tomorrow. Today it is getting lowered. 2" narrowed front beam, 4" drop, 2" narrowed torsion rods and tie rods, 2.5" drop spindles. Thats 6.5" down boys... The rear is as easy as adjusting torsion rods rotation. JeffH. Can I get it aligned at Honda? lolololol |
