Bosses car came back from Kinetic Motorsport in Vancouver a few days ago. Its a ZX3 Focus, now some of you will laugh.... However I do know that its pushing 13.7psi and running around 280whp and 260lb/ft based on the Dyno.

The other interesting part is that he only has a 2 bar map sensor.. thus limiting the boost to 14-15psi. I will be interested to see what will happen when the 3bar map is installed and this car is tuned. Plans are for 22psi+...

Slo40 01-25-2006 06:51 AM

hey tom where did you get the simple green? I've been looking all over for it.

proshoraca: I'm crossing my fingers... I will be running taller tires this year, so hopefully I can avoid shifting into 5th at the 1000'.

is that the yellow oen thats like fully kitted up? I saw him pulling into the service area of the BMW dealership the other day! Lol...

NismoKa 01-25-2006 01:44 PM

That would be the one. He's also in the process in trying to find some decent rubber so it actually sticks, unfornately with the sand / wet conditions it hasn't been the best time to give er.

Ya thats kind of a disadvantage of having alot of HP to a FWD car.. *Dont go fucking bashing me I'M NOT SAYING THEY SUCK
Its a nice car none the less... I found it amusing he'd go to the BMW dealership over the Ford one! Hahaha.. Did he get his hood to fit? Cause I noticed it wasnt closed properly when he was there...

NismoKa 01-25-2006 10:15 PM

He does a fair amount of work for the BMW dealership. Had a new M5 with the v10 in the other day, gorgeous car. It was closed in the shop today when i saw it, maybe he forgot to close it lol.

FINALLY made my tweed headliner. Took the original off, ripped the gay-ass burgundy felt crap off of it, spent 2 hrs watching Platoon and stripping the spray foam and put my tweed on...looks PERFECT...and no more sunvisors ;) only problem is that the sunvisor screws also helped hold the headliner on...it stays on now, but I gotta figure something out...double sided tape? will post pics soon

fourtirefire 01-29-2006 09:15 PM

decided that the look of brake fluid on the carpet wasn't cool
so i changed out my old clutch master cylinder, what a hassle that was to bleed out the system, thanks to me not bench bleeding it first and not wanting to take it out again after realizing that i had huge pockets of air in the lines...

Signal 01-29-2006 09:48 PM

ugh...I feel your pain...I've got a brand new slave in there and I'm pretty sure it's got air pockets *sigh*

Slo40 01-30-2006 06:40 AM

What was the trouble danny? I just gravity bleed mine in like 5 minutes.

proshoraca 01-30-2006 05:33 PM

ya i've never seen bench bleeding done on a clutch master, only brake masters.

nothing was coming out of the bleeder screw.. or the hole for it either for that matter, the only time i managed to get fluid flowing was with the line taken off the slave making an un-necessary mess.

fourtirefire 02-04-2006 11:04 PM

new plugs today, the old ones had a gap of at least .060", worn a decent bit, and started showing signs of misfiring.

Tchleung 02-04-2006 11:07 PM

Mod of the day:

Fabbed up brackets and moutend my small mattery down by the lower fender now.

Raised the car as high as I could on the coils to be able to make it onto the muffler shops ramp.

girlcrazy_420 02-05-2006 10:17 PM

Started with taking out the downpipe, collector bucket and anything else that was attached to the exaust side of the turbo. Finally took off the whole exaust, finished removing the intake piping, re-routed the boost controller to another location, tightened the driverside axle nut that had come loose and it looks like I'm going to need a front sway-bar bushing.
