dyno tuning is best for those, I spent countless hours with my s-afc trying to tune it. far too many variables with only the butt-dyno to show results.

Mod of the day:

Rewired fogs for 55w H3's vs 35 watt H3's. That and coupled with gonig to silverstars vs old stanleys' = incredible change for fogs. I will soon be doing the 9004 to 9007 conversion soon as well for more light output on Saturday

jeffh 01-05-2006 08:56 PM

BLING!!! melted housings what??!

Tchleung 01-05-2006 08:58 PM

might i suggest some 100w bulbs ...
i just threw some 9005's in mine and they sure light things up nicely, just don't run the hi-beams for too long, things will get hot!

SaviorSelf_666 01-06-2006 12:38 AM

bought 2 type r 10's, now all i need is 2 v12 amps and my full alpine set up is done

Well the 9005 is quite a bit different in design then the 9004/9007. 9007 is the easiest and msot practical way to do it as it's almost a plug and play.

I don't think he's saying put 9005's in your car.

He's just saying go with 100w bulbs.

Slo40 01-06-2006 01:10 PM

danny, have you done the all 9005 mod on the teg yet? I did it before my HID's and it makes the low beams alot more effective.

Tchleung 01-06-2006 06:07 PM

Mod of a week ago: :p

Installed the rest of the valve springs/retainers.

no not yet, just some silverstar 9006's.. which, although are better than stock bulbs, they still suck. tempting to do that though, and have 65 or 80 watts for lowbeam, instead of shitty 55.

Tchleung 01-07-2006 02:27 PM

Reeallllllyyyyy......

Mod of the day: Completed 9004-9007 conversion. The lighting output even in the day time is noticeable. At night it should be great. Very easy mod as well for ppl that already run 9004's stock.

Sofar for lighting wise this is what has been changed:

Stock(low/high)
9004 - Lumens 700/1200, Max Watts 50/70
New
9007 - Lumens 1000/1350, Max Watts 60/70

Stock
H3 - Max Watts 35
New
H3 - Max Watts 55

Overall. The foglights was an awsome mod. huge lighting output improvement. The headlights low beam has been greatly increased as well. The highbeams are also slgihtly better then before.

I am running Sylvania Silverstars all around

5zig wheel and painted jdm console black

Tchleung 01-07-2006 08:51 PM

Mod of the day #2:

Opened up my JDM 1 pieces and tookout the damn foglight glare guard. Resealed it. Just gonna throw a thin amount of silicon or caulking to fill in the crease to make sure there are no leaks. Gonna finish the passenger side tomorrow.
