frick I hate how the drivers cv axle steady bearing bracket is right beside the oil filter when you don't have the right size filter wrench

Modded a Rockford sub into the car but didnt hit as hard as it could. I went back down to FS And picked up last years model Infinity Kappa 10" and modded that into the box instead. The Rockford now resides inside the home theatre box.

got a new set of 6 ply 235/75/15 Good Year Wranglers. awesome tires... they have a layer of kevlar in them so apparently they are tough shit.

pitman, idler arm and tie rods should be the next step

Who in there right mind would spend $200 for a freaking IACV??? After doing numerous calls around town today, dealer, napa, lordco, thru work... I found one for $90... About feaking time. Now I get to have fun installing this bad boy. I sure hope its the problem... It may be the ECU or the MAP sensor... :S???

what's the problem with the car?

because that car went through map sensors like it went through tires back in the day...

How do you know when a map sensor is shot??

Thought I'd fix the erratic idle and the stalling issues finally. The IACV had a few mm of play in it, carboned to hell... It was probably due for a new one. I drove it around and it helped... but didnt fix the stalling. I pulled the vacuum line off the BOV and drove it and the RPM didnt dip as low. I fixed the leaky bov, and a few leaks in the charge-pipe and it seems alot better now, but still not perfect. Next week I'll be switching to a new Map sensor If I can figure out the cross reference for a 3-bar.

Another problem I am having, is I cant rev the engine past 2-3g's. It sputters like a motherfucker... like its hitting the rev-limiter. Once its warm its fine, but when its cold/mildly warm it wont rev. I noticed that someone put the CTS (coolant temperature sensor) under the spark plug cover... Last time I checked, it should be screwed into the block??? I remember someone saying Poko wired the butterfly open?

fourtirefire 12-13-2005 08:14 PM

oh.. well in that case.. not sure.. because before the problem was the check engine light would always come on and prevent it from going past 4000 rpm

proshoraca 12-13-2005 09:27 PM

take it to a knowledgeable(dammit, more so than me cause i cant even spell the dam word right now) tech, and get a diagnostic done, will save you the money that are currently wasting throwing parts at it guessing to try to correct some problem that could be very simple if you know how to look.

Chandler 12-14-2005 08:57 PM

oil change

HyperREV 12-14-2005 09:25 PM
