the shorter side needs to be slightly shorter.

need to find a "master machinist"

edit: got it adjusted... went to the manufacturer and they flipped the bands around and did some cutting and it magically fits. lol

If anyone's interested I've decided to sell my Kickstarter Edition Zelos Chroma Skeleton in Black PVD. Was in love with the watch when I made the order back in October 2014. The watch face reminded me of looking at a Brake Disc on a expensive car through the wheel however it took so long to arrive that I'm just over it. Selling for exactly what I paid. Here's the CL ad for more details or go to Kickstarter and check out their page.

Loved the details of the Seawolf's dial but wanted to free up some funds and someone offered me their Oris X-1 Calculator plus cash.

I'm looking for men's watch watches that illuminate and is under $500. Hoping to be local but if online is the only option, please suggest. I never bought a watch my whole life, I've tried reading the "buying watches" guide online and it's pretty overwhelming. I'm looking for a watch that can be worn at work and going out, pretty much an everyday watch. Prefer one that is 12hrs/24hrs but if its just 12hrs that's fine. I assume, the straps on watches can be customize? (switching to a different band). Thanks!

watches that illuminate as in you press a button and a light turns on or it will illuminate a little bit at night?

Opps, forgot to mention that. Would like it to be a button press illuminate

6793026 05-05-2015 06:05 PM

^ done.

1) for 500 for a press a button watch is quite a bit
2) the face you want it to be sport yet "hey look, he's wearing a casio" for a business watch, i would stay away from timex etc.

which is why i would suggest this. Suunto Core. they have plastic straps. user friendly battery replacement, button to illuminate, professional yet sporty into one and it has 12/24 hours. It's 595 at MEC, but they have lifetime warranty but if you check on ebay, they are much cheaper. I got mine for under 300.

I looked up some reviews on this watch...seems like the visibility of the numbers isn't that great? Could also suggest one that is non-light up? thanks!

6793026 05-05-2015 10:27 PM

i would never buy a smart watch because it would pain me to death to charge my phone, my ipad and now my watch ... fuck, i'm running out of places to charge things.

Suunto Core is legit, the digits and visibility is not an issue. you get compass, temp, and depth (if u ever go scuba diving like me)... great watch for 300 bucks.

i'll see if i can dig up some other stuff but definitely go try it at MEC and shop around

Got it as a cheapo watch to travel with. Is tough, solar power with 5 different alarms. Good enough for me and if it gets lost or stolen is only $30.

Thanks! Actually it doesn't have to be press button illuminate. I was walking pass a watch store today at oakridge and saw a Hamilton Khaki Automatic..but it was WAYYYY over my budget, 1K.

Hey guys. Looking to get my girl a nice watch. She is a white collar and I would like to get her something dressy. I like watches myself although I'm not balling like some of you guys k appreciate good mechanical piece of art. So I'm very relunctant to get her something fashion brand aka Gucci Prada etc. I also don't know much about ladies watch. Any recommendation for something with a thinner profile, leather/ metal bracelet under $200?

depends on the store supplying on amazon, i'd look for one that's fulfilled by amazon for that extra protection.

anyone have one of these?
