Just had a cup of hot chocolate with a friend. Nice cozy place.

Coast 9/10 pretty solid all around.

Crab cakes were not good, clams & mussel steamers were ok. Best were the oysters, ny steak and the sable fish

The Charles Bar 9/10. Cheeseburger with pulled pork poutine. Poutine is always good as usual.

Congee Noodle House - 8.5/10

Im white so not the best judge of congee, but damn this place was good. I had the house special seafood congee and my wife the sliced fish congee. Both were great! We also had a noodle dish that wasnt what we thought but it turned out to be good too. Service is what I expect at any chinese place.... Will return for sure!

Can others recommend other good congee places?

It's pretty good there, a hear a lot of people say the congee is top notch

Congee Noodle House is probably one of the best places you can go for congee in GVR.

I find the congee at #9 isn't bad either but the only time I'm there to eat is after 1am so it could just be my hunger or the fact that I'm drunk.

Congee Noodle House is good, but on some days it's quite bland...probably the head chef's day off.

BT Cafe
Was feeling mighty hungry so I got the grill set meal with tenderloin. It was surprisingly quite good. Cooked medium rare like I asked and a lot better than I expected.

i was at the keg yesterday too but the yaletown one.

i usually dont order rare in steakhouses because they almost never get it right unless its a pretty high end place where people often order rare. thought i'd try it last nite. well they cooked my tbone medium so i politely sent it back. my friends mash had a hair on it so he sent it back as well. the manager came out and made a much bigger deal abt it than we did, and she comped 2 of our meals. service was excellent although the kitchen wasnt really doing a great job. all in all we were impressed with the service and tipped well.

Clubhouse Sushi on West 2nd. 8/10

Nothing special and is pretty cheap. The beef udon soup however is the best I've ever had. The broth is super tasty.

Service is prompt. Lots of TV screen to watch game. Parking is abundant.
