niclia antica pizzeria - 8.5/10 had high hopes, and by no means is that pizza not one of the best in the city, i guess i just wasnt taken back by texture or quality of ingredients.
Deacons Corner - 9/10 place fails to do anything wrong lol
las tortas- 6/10 quality is allways there, but 30 dollars for a 2 sandwiches, 2 lemonades and chips, well call me frugal, but i feel like that hand is way to deep in my pocket.
Seasons in the park- 8/10 Would have scored way higher if the menu was a little more then usual, but thats not a bad thing, the view is, well amazing, and the price points value, and service! (water test a+). A definate return, and not as snooty as i thought it would be. Best way i can compliment seasons' is, its the perfect place you would bring the parents of your girlfriend/boyfriend.

Limit 1 per person. Limit 1 per table.
Am I reading this wrong? Is it one per person and one per table?? So me and a friend couldn't each use one if we were sitting at the same table?

BT Cafe 9/10

Baked Sole with Portuguese Sauce on Rice.

This thing is fucking delicious!!!! I like this better than their curry, not that their curry is good by any means, but this dish is more flavourful with two big pieces of sole fillet.

$6.50 w/ drink + tax&tip

The Sunflower Cafe, 5125 Joyce Street.

Good BBT. One of their better dishes is the crispy chicken with noodles in soup.

icemiko 03-13-2011 09:50 PM

How long did you had to wait in line to get in? Any pics of the pizza?
From what the owner said, the line up is ridiculous. I didn't think a pizza joint could do so well, but it's too soon to tell seeing how Nicli Antica opened not too long ago.
He bought all his smallwares and equipment at my workplace.

International Chinese Restaurant (well, used to be called that but name has changed)

1/10

Was here for a family birthday dinner. Had their set menu - $398.

Service was slow. Food was mediocre. They didn't have the cod and offered us tilapia. Said they'd take $10 off the total because of this. Didn't take the $10 when the bill came. Was supposed to come with the little sesame balls and cookies as part of the set menu. They said they didn't have any and didn't take anything off the bill. Took almost 4 hours to get all the courses served because of the slow service. Had to bitch up a storm to get the $10 and the "dessert" taken off the menu because it wasn't available. I don't think we'll be going back there again for dinner.

Red Tuna on Granville

sh*t, that sounds horrible! 4 hours for a meal?!?! Thanks for the review though, as my parents sometimes like to go to International, now I will strongly be against it.

Penang Delight Cafe, 3883 Rupert Street, Vancouver
(Rupert & 23rd Avenue)

We had a big party there last night for dinner, 20 of us to be exact. Food was okay, but the real story is today. 16 out of the 20 people fell ill. I also ran into a friend there with her family at the same time. Asked her today if they were feeling ill, and yes, 5 out of their 6 weren't doing so well today! We've contacted Vancouver Health Authority, so hopefully the restuarant can find out what it was that was making people sick.
I was one of the lucky ones, because I don't really eat spicy food, and only stuck to a couple of satay sticks and plain rice. :hotbaby: So, I can't really give a decent review of the food. Everyone else in the party seemed to enjoy the food, at the time. Maybe wait a few weeks before trying it out (if you feel so inclined for Malaysian food).
