Now it's a lot closer for me so I can get my milk tea with mini pearls without crossing the bridge. Hours are 1030am - 11pm everyday. |
Double Stacker meal @ Burger King freakin tiny burger, left me hungry....laaaaame. Just stick with the Whopper meal (#1) for the same price. |
Sushi town # 1 on hastings. 9/10 this time, the tuna/salmon donburi was very nicely prepped, and very fast as well. |

Gotham's Steakhouse 10/10 Love this place - atmosphere is great, steaks are always good. |
Onoman 7/10 bit into an uncooked gyoza they gave me a new order and didnt charge for it, also threw in some complimentary prawn tempuras |
New Yum Yai by Bangkok Bistro 9/10 Absolutely the most authentic Pad Thai you can ever have. I visited Thailand last year and it was the same. New management and Chef are from Thailand. |
Amigo 9/10 damn that rack of lamb.. medium rare just the way it's suppose to be.. meat was so damn tender, the sauce was an interesting berry mint flavoured sauce.. the banana crepe was just right with the sweetness.. however 1 mark off for service.. definitely left a little something to be desired. luckily i went with people who are regulars. |
thai son 1st ave 7/10 they give less and less meat everytime I go. |
pho hong on kingsway in burnaby 7.5/10 pho isnt bad there. but their vermicelli isnt that great. |
Went for dim sum at Kirin at Starlight. Service was pretty slow (for the amount of waiters they had) and if you do go, don't forget to make a reservation in advance. Food was alright, but nothing outstanding. I expected a bit more from Kirin. I'd give it a 7/10 overall. |
Chau on Robson St. This modern Vietnamese restaurant opened at the end of last year and it's located near all the Korean restaurants and across from Capers. Don't expect any Pho there!!! We had the rice paper rolls with pork. It was very crispy and fresh. I really like the sauce that comes with it. Next, we had beef carpaccio. Very tangy with a lot of parsley. The third dish was the lemongrass chicken with vermicelli. This one is similar to the ones in other Viet restaurants. Finally, we tried the homemade Chau meat skewer. All in all, the price is reasonable and food is a delightful new fusion of Asian foods. The owner is a 27 year old Vietnamese girl who is very smart, pretty and business-oriented. I admire her greatly for her strong work ethic and her close relationship with her parents. Total: 8/10 |
le do 9/10 as usually. |
Al Porto on Gastown. 8/10. It's like any fancy restaurant around downtown. I'd rate it a 7 if it wasn't for the satisfactory service. |
Qoola Apple Caramel and original Qrush....yum for a nice sunny day. 8.5/10. Check my review from before. :) http://604foodtography.wordpress.com...a-yogurtfruit/ |
Bridge by the Water or something, used to be the Maplewood Pub in North Van. Was there to watch UFC. Had wings for .35 each which were not bad and got a Clubhouse sandwich with a salad which was pretty good and only 9.95. Triple decker sammich. It wasn't our intended destination but worked out well! |

Good to know it's still alive... I think the only disadvantage is that it's located farther from all the stores....therefore less traffic.... |
