i know the mexican guy that was there for the years he has been there. i"m like the only asian dude that he remembers. i still remember the day he quit and waiting for his last pay check. he said the boss kept the tips and just didn't give it back ot the operator. so sad. |
Platform 7 coffee shop on E. Hastings right beside tacofino. Haven't tried much there but my americano was awesome and my friend said the london fog was good too. Just hipster enough for me :D |
La Taqueria 8.5/10 First time there, tacos were amazing, particularly liked the pork cheeks and Asada. The pineapple pop beverage was also really good. Only downside was limited seating. |
L'Abattoir - 9/10 Pretty good food and good service! Nothing to really complain about except for the portions. They're a little on the small side. I'd suggest trying it out. |

But always decide a few days before the impending date... and BAM... no tables. HonestTea, how is the ambiance and parking for the restaurant? |
Quote:
Ambiance is good. Dim-lit and can be just a spot to just chill with friends or can be a romantic dinner with the SO. It wasn't too loud either, which was good but that depends on the people sitting around you lol |
Sawasdee Thai. Hands down the best thai food around. Atmosphere was good, service was great. Can't wait to go back btw anyone remember the name of the viet restaurant near a dairy queen in east van? ppl on rs were crazy about it, would have rs meets there and talk about the cute waitress sisters. |

probably That Time some idiot decided to Roll a Joint right on the table & The waitress saw him,and he came here giving absolute shit to the person who did it....Would have being Shut down if inspectors saw that. |
Sol Y Limon? Had some dornados, they sucked. They tasted like a shittier version of samosas. Their tacos are decent. No idea why this place is popular. 0/10 on the dornados, I don't think many would enjoy them. Mushy potatos and chorizo or whatever you choose, zero flavour except for the sauces you pour on them. Granted, there's a cute chick that works there. |
^ Ouch. That sucks. I know you made it a point that the dornados sucked, but if you were to rate the place on the tacos alone, what would you give it? Or would you out right recommend everyone to simply avoid it like the plague? |

But yeah, I think if you were to go there for the Tacos alone, you can't go wrong. @ 2.40? ish. I enjoyed them -flavour was good and sauce options. I'll probably try some more options from Sal y limon, but yeah, tacos would be a good first pick for a first time visit at this place. Hmm thinking back on those tacos, I think I actually might rate it above Dona Cata's tacos. They were piping hot and flavour was great. Hmm the more I think about the Tacos lol, I say better than decent, 8ish/10? |
cloud 9 5/10 le gf wanted to go 'cause it's purportedly "fancy" mcdonald's washrooms are even fancier than theirs ordered prime rib... 36ish bux jesus fuck. it was mediocre dark as fuck in there had a hard time making out my own food people were nice, and the view was quite the spectacle tho |

I think people just stopped posting about it. |
E11even 6.5/10 - Food was okay but the service was lousy, slow and I think they forgot my order. It's basically a sports bar. |
Cutters crab house in Seattle. The prawn was very good. 9/10 Posted via RS Mobile |
Chad Thai in Burnaby Red Curry with Coconut Rice 8/10 |
Kamei Baru by Scotiabank Theatre. Had some pre NYE dinner with my buddy. Food was better than the last time I went but the service was pretty slow considering how not busy it was. The alcoholic beverages also seem less diluted than typical Asian restaurants. 8/10. It's a bit more $$ (about the same as Ebisu but in my opinion tastes better or some stuff). Ebisu has a way better Volcano roll though. Also, the yakiudon portion size is kinda small for the price. |
Bone Sushi at Empire Center in Richmond Very artistic yet average price sushi. |
