#9 6/10. Quality of the food today was bad

Wings
9/10
Went to the one at Downtown. Nice atmosphere and good food. Kinda rushed us to order though.

I personally would rather go to Anton's over OSF.

Pink Peppercorn

9/10..or 10/10.

Seafood linguine and salmon wellington, both 10/10.

From what I remember, the wellington was much bigger and the salmon was more moist that that of The Cannery. The pinot noir sauce also seemed much tastier.

The seafood linguine had ample amounts of seafood, the linguine was done well, and the tomato sauce was fresh and not overly acidic.

Only shitty part was the 40 min wait even with a reservation because another large party didn't leave. The chef came out and apologized afterward in addition to making his rounds to the tables looking for input and questions.

The prices are also cheaper than The Cannery by a few dollars, on average.

Definitely a place to check out.

BlackZRoadster 12-19-2010 03:40 PM

zakkushi denman

9/10 everytime i go! I've been to main st. location but they dont have botan ebi sashimi like the denman location. All of there skewers are damn good, but i never order beef as i find it too bland, we usually spend about $80-90 on skewers to fill up me and my fiance up.

Thanks for the heads-up, will definitely check out! Shame he chose a bland location and didn't spice it up, I remember when it was Little Johnny's.

Pho Hoang 8/10 soup was good but a little bit too much MSG or whatever it may be

Tastes surprisingly good acutally, 20x better than the smores

bcrdukes 12-20-2010 09:04 AM

The blueberry maple pie is quite good, in my opinion. The maple makes it a tad too sweet, taking away from the blueberry flavour but overall, quite difficult to make a real fuss over. :)

Cattle Cafe 7.5/10

Wow thanks time to try it. GF was being stubborn and wanted apple pie. Interestingly enough you save half a cent per unit by buying one pie instead of 2. Didn't realize they changed the prices until yesterday

It's now 69c to buy one 1.39 to buy two
Used to be something like 1.09 for one

mako 12-20-2010 04:31 PM

The Wallflower

Grandma's Fried Chicken - tasty and without the guilt
