CHOP

6.5/10

Bad experience. Didn't have prime rib, had to settle for this crap. Slow service and not enough servers.

Yeah, it's a pretty popular location. Doesn't help it's right off Sepulveda, 105, 405, and Lincoln Boulevard too. :p

I got in late Friday night and was starving so I just went there after I picked up my car.

Durrann 11-28-2010 11:00 PM

U didn't animal the fries or burger

No. I kind of like it plain. :p

Little Sheep hot pot (the one in Lansdowne)

service was absolutely horrid,
expensive, but the price didn't bother me so much as having to basically wait ourselves

0/10

AYCE pork belly, korean style. AYCE soup, rice, pop, pork belly, and side dishes for $15 (or $14 after 9pm). We only had 3 plates of meat between 2 of us so in hindsight we probably should have just gotten the regular 1 plate. The restaurant is a bit dirty but overall I like the atmosphere - it's very casual and feels like you're in a restaurant in asia. It's very greasy so it's probably not something I'd wanna eat often but I'd definitely go back.

i like ssam gyup sal but damn... this place got me and 3 friends all sick.

because the service sucked, it automatically makes the food suck so you gave a 0/10?

i know you have to get the sauces yourself, i actually like it, because you can load up whatever ingredients you want in your sauce bowl.

Went to HK BBQ Master yesterday.
8.5/10 - very filling, LOTS of meat (bbq pork + roast pork). Would definitely go back.
Only downside is the place is quite small and packed with people.

I <3 westender so much.
Would be willing to branch out, don't care if it's dingy at all.
But how's the banchan?

Culture_Vulture 12-01-2010 01:34 PM

Just found a little gem near New West skytrain station, a nice gourmet pizza parlor/Mexican restaurant
10/10, two giant slices and a pop for $4.50
Under-kneaded dough, slightly overcooked pizzas, and a dirty little parlor to go along with it all. Perfect gourmet stuff your face type pizza.

I'm not too sure of the name, but a quick Google search showed me two names for the same location, so I'll just leave the address: 881 Carnarvon Street. It's a Mexican joint, pretty hard to miss.

banchan was ordinary.
i like seng kimchi (fresh) so i didnt really care for it.
also the service was not good. then again, all korean restaurants have brutal service.

Went to the RiverRock buffet for lunch today.

http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_v45-TBo7M6...The+Buffet.jpg

Service was amazing, some dishes were really good, others... not so much. But there's definitely food in there that will please everybody's taste buds.

They had Asian dishes, as well as some Western dishes.

Had two plates full of Baked Potatos, Halibut, Roast Beef and Fried Chicken. And finished the meal off with Cream Puffs and Creme Caramel.

10/10

I'd frequent them a lot more if it was priced a bit cheaper. Total came out to $37.xx for two people plus $4.00 in tip which I left on the table at the end.

I'd rate it a lot lower if I compared it to Eagles Buffet inside Tulalip or Buffets inside Las Vegas Casinos, but I prefer this buffet over any other buffet in the Lower Mainland, including all the sushi joints.

Yeah I made that mistake when I tried in n out for the first time this summer. It was so boring/bland I was like wtf?!?! this is what people are raving about? I think I just had the plain cheeseburger.

noTirl 12-01-2010 05:30 PM

sushi garden - lougheed
7/10
service was a bit slow

Euro7r 12-01-2010 11:32 PM

White Spot, Ackroyd road in Rmd
8/10
Good enough for a simple evening dinner. Had the Mediterranean chicken burger, fries were just a tad bit soggy.

unit 12-02-2010 08:49 AM

^u should specifically ask for them to be crispy. a trick my gf who works there taught me

Culverin 12-02-2010 11:27 AM

Pink Peppercorn (seafood)
Food was great, well above par.
One of my bros got a seafood rice, with lots of stuff, and fresh scallops. Was impressed.
Another bro got the Ahi Tuna. wow, Good sear, SUPER fresh. Amazing.
Lobster wasn't amazing, but it was like a 1.5lb lobster dinner for $30 can't complain.
8/10

Red Wagon (diner, new)
Location Hastings @ Nanaimo
Went for brunch, was pretty good, could have used more potatoes :(
Got Eggs benedict with spinach and goat cheese. Honestly, I liked the one from Stellas more.
Thought the hollandaise was just a touch on the tart side.

Went for dinner too.
Crispy pork belly w/ a salad.
Wow, color me impressed.

7.5/10

I think I know what you're talking about, it's probably Chihuahuas Mexican Food & Pizza.
