Gaborik's injury history has reduced his value. He has the skill of the best in the league, but playing only 40 games of the season has the bottom line impact of a 2nd liner. Kev |
yeah, no one is willing to give up a prospect for a first round pick for a injury prone player no matter how good he is if he was healthy, GMs would give their left testicle for gaborik in a second |
Especially one who's contract is up at the end of the season and can sign with whom ever he wants. |

I wonder how long before someone is willing to take that gamble and trade for Gabby. |
Every time the Canucks play Detroit, it's one hell of a measuring stick. Sure, we have our moments of greatness, but we're still a long way away from being an elite team in the NHL... |

Its a shame we didn't play SanJose during our awesome streak. I would of liked to see how we would have done against them when we were playing well too. Not saying we are better or worse then the Sharks but i would have liked to see it. |

Hmmm if I were a GM and I had a LEGITIMATE chance of winning and able to add on Gaborik, MAYBE I would trade off some draft picks OR a prospect. But certainly not both. |
Mike Gillis was just on the radio with pratt and taylor he said he is meeting with sundin this week and will have definitive descisions done within the next 10 days, he sounded really optomistic and much different then when he was on the radio previously |

good stuff so far dominating the play and spending most of the time in their zone |
Hey Shorthouse, their booing OHLUND not the WILD, lol. Good period, lets just hope the Wild don't wake up. Edit: I was watching VS and they said that Sundin could be joining the Canucks by end of this month. Lets wait and see. |
so heres more avery http://ca.sports.yahoo.com/nhl/blog/...urn=nhl,126812 so yea...ahahha comparing Prongers godzilla stomp vs avery's comment interesting i must say... |
shit man, Schneider can't be looking around for a call like that. Gotta get back in position even if you got interfered. If it still goes in, then complain. Afterward. |

yeah, i was listening to pratt and taylor saying how our gillis was in talks with sundin saying he'll probably have an answer in a week or so and he says its very optimistic guess we'll just wait and see |
Who's going to get axed on the Canucks if they get Sundin? They don't have enough cap room for him anymore... I think they are down to 8.8 mill or something? |
Hope he acutally gives an OFFICIAL answer by the end of the week then. Not some BS answer like, yeah, I've decided I like the city of Vancouver and I'm gonna play hockey again, but I haven't decide which team yet. and IF Sundin plays for the Canucks, how much does the Canucks pay now since he's joining half way into the season? Not to knock on Schneider or anything, but more of curiosity. Why is it that lots of rookie goalies always look out of position when they make the jump into NHL. I can understand the shots might be harder, the passing and shots come faster, players are faster, but shouldn't correct saving positioning be the same from what they learnt since day one including what they learnt in the minors? I don't understand the way how they overplay stuff or slide out too far going one way, or over commiting to shots, etc. Is it because they are nervous? |
aweomse hit by ohlund lol |
