So who's taken apart their Bold? My trackball is acting up and i'm thinking I might as well change the bezel to a black one :D

is anyone using the black trackball? Is it any better than the white one in terms of not getting stuck?

I would like to keep the white one because I like the fact it lights up.

the black trackball has a glowing ring around it which is pretty cool too

Can anyone give me any place to get "berry annoying" that camera app that has the silent shutter for free? I can't find it anywhere other than for the 3 or 4 dollars that it costs to buy it.

How did you resolve the warranty sticker issue on your phone? :D

Got my Bold for $99 from Rogers.

Easy, use a sharp edge, carefully peel it off, and stick it back on.

If I need warranty stuff, I just put everything back to stock. :D

I've been thinking of getting one of these guys for a little while now.

How are people's that purchased them in August holding up? Not completely broken?



Also how do you partake in the $100 deal? When I called Rogers quoted me 249.99 and when I went into Wireless Wave they got 649.99.

I'd really like to get it for $100.


Also anyone use the Bold with a Mac? How is that going? If it's a bad experience I would probably just run XP for the Bold.

100 is cheap. paid 399 in the summer...fuk

I've had mine since it came out in early August in Hong Kong and it's holding up for me great. No regrets whatsoever.

Also, I have a Bold with a Mac, and it's fine. You don't really need PC's unless you want to upgrade the software. Other than that it's not really necessary. RIM did mention that they are going to be making software that can load new OS's for Mac's soon though!

No, debranding is different, and unlocking does not do that.

Unlocking only allows you to use your phone with any SIM card - not just Rogers. (i.e. if you travel and use a SIM from another phone company)
