I got owned. I spent 3 hours digging and busting up ice to get my wifes car out of the garage so I didn't have to get up a 5:00 and drive her to work. With the new snow it looks like that digging is going to be all for not, it's really coming down. |
Soundy is the man ! |
I don't condone what she did. She could have been smart and realized this spot wasn't just magically created by some snow angel. However, perhaps i'm the only one that feels this way but you're just as big as jerk as her. Maybe even bigger. It's a residential street. This kind of stuff happens. When you dig out a space, you risk someone else parking in it. It's frustrating but that's life. All you hypocrits here that encourage icing over someone else's car and burying it in ice. But then you'll complain here when someone touches your car and call for a beatdown crew. Go figure. |
came up boundary from Marine Dr. not too long ago..and there was a old vw and a bmw stuck trying to get up the hill. Should probably have more cars stuck there now |
i heard that the bus to UBC is closed on the radio does that mean that there MIGHT not be school tomorrow for universities? if not, or if so where can we find out? |
SFU is a mess. The snow is an inch high, and you cannot see the lines so it is one lane up and one lane down. There are lots of cars with their hazzards on because they cannot make it up the hill with their all-season tires. Along Gallardi, just before the campus, there is a row of cars that are parked in the middle of the lane and they are not moving. Luckily, my S2000 is small enough to get around them, and then take the back road to get home. I park my car in my underground parking and the girl in a Civic in the spot next to me is getting out of her car. She has stock all-season tires that are BALD. She was covered in snow and ice. I asked her if she had to push her car, and her response was a really tired "yeh". I'm sick and tired. All these fucktards who think all-season tires are fine, and if they do get stuck, they will just throw on a set of chains. I am in an S2000 with snow tires and did not add any weight in the trunk and I get around without any issues. Arrrrggggg. I am going to shoot someone pretty soon. |
i dont think ubc will close tml.... last time ubc only closed when the condition was really really bad |
This shit is really getting old. Today is worse... all the rain made a nice slushy layer on the bottom, and now we have fresh snow on top. Fuck off, snow. |
damn all you bald all season bastards. i couldn't even get into vancouver because of all you morons spinning your damn tires at every minuscule hill and blocking them. i came up willingdon and i couldn't go on mosscrop or willingdon or royal oak or canada way because people just give up and throw there hazards on and park they're car sideways on a hill. get some damn snow tires. fuck... |
I heard the 130 bus going up Willingdon to Metro are all shutdown. There were like 3 busses stuck going up that hill. |
I'm pretty sure I should have died being stupid enough to drive from Delta to home in Richmond just now. Nordel should have been my first sign to turn back..no lanes, no tire tracks, just everyone crawling at 20km in blizzard conditions. The highway was even worse, people driving 40km, my car literally drifted around every corner even though I didn't even have my foot on the gas. Some of you mofo's need to wrap your cars/SUV/trucks around a pole or flip it into a ditch... tail gating smaller cars/safe drivers in these conditions is just flat out ignorant and STUPID. |
Ha, it's always the same shit. People in all seasons crying about how bad it is and how all the people in SUV's and winter tires should slow down or crash into a pole. No need to hate just because you're not properly equiped. Then you have the people on winter tires bitching at all the people on all seasons stuck and blocking up traffic. |

Ummm thanks for your pointless assumptions but i have winter tires and i still don't feel the need to drive like a total prick...have you watched the news the last 3 weeks? how many times did they show trucks and SUV's ending up in ditches? Just for example, that woman on the island speeding in her SUV, killed 2 of her 4 kids and putting herself and her other 2 kids in critical condition in the hospital. Over-confidence behind the wheel kills, especially in this shit. Better equipped with winter tires and having 4WD doesn't mean you're invincible on the road, you're still responsible for driving with safe mind-set, for the sake of everyone else you're sharing the road with, even if you don't give a shit what happens to yourself. |

Remember: Winter and snow tires don't help you move faster, they just help you move.. |
But being not properly equipped doesn't mean you have to drive at 10-20km/h while taking up both lanes on the main roads either. |
