In the past, I loved the snow. But this is just way to much for regular vancouverites to handle.
Its like chaos out there with all that people taking up the right traffic lane to park, and all the side streets with tire while with high piles of snow in the middle.

Alatar 01-01-2009 06:09 AM

Still snowing, and I'm just getting ready to go snowboarding. There's about 4" of snow on my car right now.

AzNightmare 01-01-2009 06:47 AM

Time to whip out the cross country skis.

muteki 01-01-2009 06:48 AM

Ugh. When will it stop!?
Hiking in 2-3 feet of snow isn't fun.

IMASA 01-01-2009 07:05 AM

Ha, keep it coming. I'm getting my money's worth outta my winter tires.

muteki 01-01-2009 07:10 AM

Although snow gives you the peaceful feeling when you look outside.. well that's pretty much it.. you can't go anywhere else BECAUSE IT'S JUST TOO DANGEROUS TO DRIVE!! I hate snow..!!!!!!!!!! :swear:

to heck with that with all the black ice i have out front you should bring your skates and a hockey stick... RS hocket meet! :D

The city never plowed any streets within a 4 block radius of my house throughout any of the snowfall over the last few weeks. I'm scared to leave not because I'll get stuck but because I don't want to lose my prime parking spot. Asking them to plow it would be asking a lot I guess.

lilaznviper 01-01-2009 04:24 PM

welfare 01-01-2009 04:52 PM

i love it. though i can see why people are so opposed to it
here's a tip for those of you dreading getting into the car in these conditions:
the single most imperative element you could possibly obtain in order to keep a level head while driving in these conditions will not cost you a cent-
confidence

how about this one instead:

if you can't find a decent path for your car out to a main street, leave the car at home.

welfare 01-01-2009 08:46 PM

sorry. i meant confidence AND brains

danned 01-01-2009 10:22 PM

TRDood 01-01-2009 11:32 PM

hotjoint 01-01-2009 11:37 PM

skyxx 01-01-2009 11:45 PM

At least it won't smell. :) I remember one summer when the "Sanitary Engineers" went on Strike. Garbage stunk like crazy for weeks.

lilaznviper 01-02-2009 12:06 AM

when will the black ice stop... i want to go out!!!! without having to wait for transit for hours to get to one place

Not really racist! 01-02-2009 12:09 AM

I live in townhouses and there are two sides.

On my side, we have three giant dumpsters, all filled to the top, overflowing, tons of garbage on the floor too, recycle bin things are filled to the top as well.

Girl 01-02-2009 06:46 AM

Holy shit! Is it still snowing in Vancouver?!?!?
