Hmm. . . . I'm not exact sure if everyone else is having this same problem like me but my WIFI for my iPad2, my iPod Touch, and MACBOOK appears to have some problems connecting and/or holding a WIFI connection to my DLINK DIR-655 router. I'm using the latest firmware for all devices . . .

The weird thing is I'm only having this problem with APPLE products. My PC laptop, WIFI connected desktop PC, and PS3 don't appear to be having any WIFI connection issues. Is anyone else having the same problem right now? It generally happens only when I have other 2.4ghz devices running at the same time ie: baby monitor.

I expect that ALL devices would have the same issue but it's only APPLE products that are experiencing the connection issues. Is this something that is known to APPLE or just a weird phenomenon in my house?

i think its your dlink..:( i have a dir-615 and this idiot of a wireless router goes to sleep (there is no setting)...you need to have something on and connected to it (either wifi or direct connection) to keep the wifi alive...

I have the same router and don't have any issues with wireless. I've connected iPhones, macbooks,macbook pros to it just fine. The 655 is an extremely stable router.

I don't think iPads ever came with a smart cover? That would've been a great deal... I mean that thing will be the biggest source of accessory revenue for Apple.

It's not like the thing functions incorrectly without it.. like the iPhone antenna issues.

I don't know if the Captain is just trying to make money off people, but you can reserve iPads at all the store locations. Go online at 9PM, and just reserve it through apple.ca. You can pick it up the next day at the Apple store that you chose. It's still a bit of a battle though, because they'll sell out in < 10 mins, but its also free... and possibly more convenient.
