Was she even hot?

Badhobz 02-29-2024 09:30 PM

Yeah. Typical Mainlander Barbie doll.

Her car even smelled nice. Like a mixture of luxury perfume and a hint of….. Fish sauce ? Something a bit dank

So I took the ratrolla in for service today and there was a ratrolla coupe in at the same time. It was driven by this young Chinese girl. She saw my car and we started talking.

You know what’s crazy ? She didn’t even know it’s a v8. She bought it because she thought it was pretty. She’s only driven it in automatic and thus never heard the engine roar. I took her and her car for a more spirited drive and she was blown away. She’s like I didn’t know it could do this ! Her car has like 40,000kms on it. It’s a 2020

Who buys a car like this and don’t know jack shit ?!

Chinese women are insane. Stay away from them.

Sounds like the previous owner to my GS except in my case she was older. I imagine she just wandered in and wanted the nicest GS available.

Former (really former now) Prime Minister of Canada, Brian Mulroney, passed away at age 84.

Yeah she said the same thing, she bought it because it was the most expensive Lexus and therefore the best. I said our cars don't even have features that the LS has like massaging seats, 360-degree camera (only in 2024 did they finally add that to their flagship) or thigh extensions. She looked at me all confused like i just spoke a bunch of jibberish to her.

It could be the way i said it in Mandarin. Mei you AN MOI MOI de wei zi (no massage chair) she probably thought i was saying something skanky

Not quite the same level of car but my wife had never hit VTEC or tried the tiptronic in her Prelude. The tiptronic was crap anyways but she didn't know what was going on when I drove it and VTAK kicked in yo.

I almost spat my coffee out while reading this at work lol

I do find that some girls' cars have a certain stank to them though, you're right.

It probably hastened the death of the crappy autos Honda had in those but we'll gloss over that part.

How many of those auto deaths were ppl trying to rev-match the tiptronic downshifts with a blip in N before a drop back into gear? :D

underscore 03-02-2024 12:02 PM

I never knew that was a thing but it definitely wouldn't have helped haha

donk. 03-03-2024 04:02 PM

Those of you with "complicated" taxes, how much are you paying, and for how much service?

I payed 600$ last year for a few properties (rentals/bought/sold/cap improvements etc), rrsp, some degenerate stonk gambling, single employer

The above is after spending about 6hrs sorting all documents needed

The suggestion from here to get the $10 oil filter wrench from Princess Auto was a major bust. Didn't slip on, so I gave it some love taps with a hammer, when it came to taking it off, it wouldn't come off. Plastic filter housing didn't break, but It's got marks on it now from me trying to get the wrench off.

Need new suggestions on another oil filter wrench before my next change.

I also read somewhere that it's a good idea to change the plastic housing over to the metal housing.....Is it worth changing or just stick with the plastic one. It feels pretty beefy as is.

EvoFire 03-04-2024 10:16 AM

My MS3 had a plastic filter housing and it was fine. But eventually the plastic started to wear down and round and I swapped to a canister housing that was from another car.

i bought the motormaster oil filter adapter for toyota's and had the same problem. It would get stuck on the damn oil filter and make it next to impossible to take off without bashing it with a hammer.

Im trying this new product when i do the oil next time. Hopefully it'll work better
