Is there a correlation between working out and having your morning piss be super dark yellow?

Add anything new to your diet?
Animal Pak makes my piss all funny coloured and smelly.

well like quoting from layne norton, you need to have strength to get stronger and lift heavier for your muscles to grow, and the only way you can get that is by working power and hypertrophy (high volume) interchangeably.

I'm mainly going for bodybuilding, but do work on strength from time to time... I know you work on bodybuilding right? Cus you probably got one of the most toned bodies here, besides me of course :troll: jk

Loving this madcow 5x5. PR's twice a week!
Focusing on building a good foundation right now, then I'll get into some hypertrophy later on :)

J.C 08-16-2012 06:13 PM

at the moment, i'm doing all power lifting stuff
i'll probably go more into bodybuilding in january
i want to be super strong and shredded in the future :fuckyea:

Not sure what they are doing, but when I dropped by they had moved a lot of the machines out into the hallway. Maybe maintenance? I hope we get some new stuff. They spent a lot of money on those cool treadmills, but wish they would spend some $ on more weights!

When was this? I haven't noticed any new equipment at the Oval.

If you guys move to the Oval, maybe one of you can spot me for barbell bench. :considered:

edit: oh, wait, I think you were referring to your gym...

instantneedles 08-16-2012 08:15 PM

i donno what was with me today, but i could only flat bench 90s for 5 times only :QQ:
i think it was cus i had a pretty intense deadlift day yesterday

on top of that, i tore an ab muscle after not touching abs for weeks... like wtf who tears an ab muscle

overall shitty workout today.

Meowjin 08-16-2012 08:51 PM

Woke up with a headache, feel pretty light headed. Maybe I'm sick and my body was pissing out alot of dead blood cells/toxins.

J.C 08-16-2012 08:59 PM

back to going heavy tomorrow
deload week over

hopefully i'll break some pr's.
working towards the goal of 315lbs squat 1RM @ 140 by the end of august / end of my first year

Meowjin 08-16-2012 09:03 PM

What's a deload week? I just keep lifting heavy then I worry about it when I stop making gains.

J.C 08-16-2012 09:52 PM

it's where you do half weights for about a week to give your body a break and some rest

i only do it when i feel sore and fuck and tired during the next workout
i'm usually good to go the next day, except a week ago where i couldn't lift shit for that workout because i was so sore and tired
i think i earned my deload lol, i added +40-45lbs to my squats over the last couple months

Bahaha, I just creep in this thread here and there. Just seems as though everyone talks about gains in moving weight rather than actually appearance in physique. But all is good.

I usually do power lifting movements during the winter and switch it up to bodybuilding during Spring and Summer. But seeing a lot of gains from bodybuilding I'm now leaning more towards it rather than weightlifting.

Pretty simply actually. Just a week or more of complete rest. Either no heavy lifting at all or just light to moderate lifting for maintenance. A rest period for your body to rejuvenate in a sense while still eating proper of course.

instantneedles 08-16-2012 10:04 PM

no deload week for me. go hard or go home; lift or no lift, there is no in between

just my personal preference

i mean i do switch from power/strength routines to lighter hypertrophy routines but thats it

hal0g0dv2 08-16-2012 10:23 PM

Couple of kids have been 'Mirin me lifting for a couple weeks now. I see them constantly watching what I do and trying to emulate my workouts. I pretty much zone out when I'm lifting and don't talk much but one of them finally came over and asked me if I would show him how to deadlift properly. I said sure and gave them a lesson on deadlifting. They are your typical no idea what to do lifters. See em do some curls then some fly's then some other random lift. I asked if they wanted me to write up a program for them and they almost came in their pants. "Dude that would be so fucking awesome. Thank you so much"

I'm just going to get them on the 5X5 program for starts and see if they actually stick with the gym.

Berz out.
