It is good for tight areas, or areas where you are prone to injuring/imbalances. very good for the back, rotators, hips, IT bands etc... it basically acts as a self massager to increase blood flow in the area that is problematic, and "kneed" out the muscle to say the least. I usually find it most beneficial pre stretching.

went gym today after a week off since puke day..def went back too fast lol my routine is first half of week strength and last half of week hyper, so i did chest/bi going heavy but i started getting a headache. grabbed so advil and just decided to take it easy with hypertrophy style lifts...went ok i guess

A piece of of pvc or abs pipe works just as well for poor people :)


One thing I don't get is sharing foam rollers at gyms, especially if you wear shorts. kinda gross
