^ I think he's talking about the bench alternative as opposed to squats LOL since his goal is to up his bench press

J.C 08-13-2012 05:15 PM

^ yeah, my squats are fine for now
260x5 on squats, 315x2 on dl, but only 135x5 on bench :(

first day of the program and it said 6x6 70% of your 1RM bench

:fuckthatshit: did 8 sets

also pulled 315 deadlift x 2, really shouldn't have done it though since it's my deload week

^im mirin those centopani-like biceps... however, I am STILL waiting for a picture of you topless and exposing your chest. It's like you're teasing us with different angles of what we want, but never really showing it...

no homo.

Dat feel that you get after doing bi and chest, and getting that blood rush and pump flushing through your muscles... Wouldn't trade that feel for any other feel

Going to join in on the compromise...

Personally my squat and deadlift have been lacking lots, mainly because i no longer do them 2-3 times a week.
However, my bench has been going up, at 75lb dbs now and a 155 bench, 85lb OHP. The weight for my rows, presses, and other auxilliary exercises are going up.
I've still got a long way to go, but i think it holds pretty true that we can't have it all at the same time :lol

@jc95, our builds are freakishly similar :derp:

hey man, u might not notice it, but compared to ur previous vids/pics, you do seem to be packing on a bit of size, slowly but surely...

also, i'd suggest changing out of the 5x5 for a bit, and try going on a bodybuilder routine where you do sets to failure, around the 10-12 range... it really helped for me, so it might help for you

doing deadlifts with swimming trunks in fear of ripping shorts :joy: shits cashhh

on a serious note, solid lift berz, you def look like you coulda pulled off a few more reps, i'd say 4-5 more at least cus your form was still intact for the last rep

and ur neck is starting to disappear :fullofwin:

Well I can't speak too much for back because I'm still trying to come up with a good back workout for myself. But for chest, this is my workout routine. I sent the exact same one to halogod...

Chest workout:

Warm-up

25 pushups x 2 sets

Working Sets:

80 lb dumbbells flat bench - 10 reps x 1 set

90 lb dumbbells flat bench - 8 reps x 2 sets

100 lb dumbbells flat bench - 7 reps x 2 sets

Incline Bench - barbell - 135 lb x 12, 155 x 10, 155 x 8, 155 x 6

Chest Fly - 10 chest flys. superset with 15 pushups. 3 sets.

Done.

J.C 08-14-2012 01:04 PM

looks good, thanks!

Yep I think I could have got 4-5 more if my grip held out. Been hitting the traps hard recently glad to see it's paying off :fullofwin:

The chest flys with pushups seem like a good burnout. You should start a log in the BB group, I'm curious to see your build (no homo)
