Found this in stock today, picked up two. Price is steep (Just under $15 per bottle) but it's been raved about in beer nerd circles.

I've have a couple bottles also, I'm looking forward to trying it.

Can't get off the Blue Buck train... :drool

Bought a Lighthouse Brewery mixer pack yesterday. Race Rocks was the most drinkable so far. Pilsner was a little tangy for my liking, still decent, but not great. Vanilla stout was a pretty good beer I thought. Haven't tried the Pale Ale yet. Will report back.

sonick 01-25-2015 11:08 AM

Lighthouse is pretty solid. IMHO their Shipwreck IPA (nee Switchback) is underrated locally compared to Fat Tug and Red Racer. Race rocks is one of my favs from them too.

punkwax 01-25-2015 03:48 PM

Tried the Pale Ale, it was really good. Had another vanilla stout. Even better than the one I had last night.. having another Race Rocks ale now watching the All Star game.. better stop after this one as I play myself in a few hours.

where did you find it?

Godzira 01-28-2015 08:41 AM

Does anyone know a good beer comparable to dark matter?

My boyfriend built a kegorator out of my mini fridge and he gets a mini keg every month.. so far dark matter is my favourite!

these are pretty good. I still like their Tripilicity. Bought a case of them when they first started bottling them. The bottles of the nectarous is better than what they serve in the tasting room.

Had a couple Erdingers at Craft before watching the Canucks get their asses kicked last night at Rogers arena.

Good stuff!

Man, completely missed the boat when the windstorm pale ale was on sale for $2 per tallie

Beer of 2014 for me personally. Had it on tap at great bear pub last weekend, great on tap as well and completely different than out of the can, wish I had bought 20+ at that price fuck

mmm blue buck...can't go wrong with that

maybe i'll go for the phillips variety pack...what's the seasonal bottle featured?

gonna buy some tandoori chicken wings...yup, can't wait til Sunday.
Hopefully there'll be a reason to drink some more after the game.

sonick 01-30-2015 10:38 PM

Just cracked my first bottle of Nectarous.

Surprising upon first taste, but very good. A far lighter than I anticipated. Was expecting more syrupy, but this was very dry. It's like biting into a fresh juicy ripe peach; amazing that the flavours are all a result from the yeast and organisms.

Carbonation is amazing, practically champagne-like.

I've been hoping for local brewers to create more sours, and this one really hits the nail on the head.

Obsideon 02-17-2015 08:50 PM

I've been looking for the Nectorus everywhere but all sold out! :(

sonick 02-17-2015 08:58 PM

I believe they'll have another release in the spring, won't be a once a year type thing.

Verdasco 02-17-2015 10:31 PM

give me some Guinness with salt and pepper wings and i am done

Presto 04-09-2015 05:32 PM

BCLC has recently priced a lot of tall boys for $1.99. Imports and Locals! Brio is only $1.79! I'd stock up, but then that's a lot of calories :P.

Obsideon 04-09-2015 08:01 PM

^ It's because they no longer include the tax in the price.

Get the Konig Ludwig instead. its a lot better but both arent the same as they are in Germany, which is unfortunate.

shawnly1000 04-15-2015 08:00 PM

Jerkface 9000 from Parallel 49 caught my eye cause of the name but it tastes pretty good for a wheat/pale ale

Hondaracer 05-14-2015 08:38 PM

me and some friends went on a bit of a bender on comercial dr last weekend and ended up having way too much fun at Biercraft/Fets/5 other places

ended up trying this $55 Dues

Very interesting.. 3 of the 4 of us are big beer guys and only 1 of us really "liked" it, i can appreciate it as it has a definate refined taste but with massive depth. the fermentation process involves both hops and barley as well as sugars involved in meads etc. it has super minor hops with big tongue and nose, sweet almost to a tartness

http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y13...6.jpg~original

Obsideon 05-15-2015 06:34 PM

Can you get that at the Liquor store?
$55 is hella steep for a beer ...
