Grabbed a What the Huck from Fernie brewing.

My buddy who works in Van grabbed a few for me and some friends, same thing though none of the nearby stores i thiught might carry them did..

Excited to try it though

We actually kept a few months after release, definately not as good but the flavor changes quite a bit over time, still quite enjoyable

For those looking my buddy got them from a place on comercial yesterday (sorry don't know name they had a limit of two) then he got a case from a liquor depot somewhere around van, sorry didn't cstch the exact location on that one either

everyone gets overly excited when they hear true craft retailers - brewery creek, for example - sells out in one or two hours and have one or two bottle limits. they're the first to sell out. go to the hole in the wall stores and they'll sell you all you want and they'll have stock on the shelves for weeks, if not months.

Picked up some to give it a try.

The stores that I routinely visit are all in Langley/Abbotsford, so they'd be a bit of a drive for you. Jimmy Mac's comes to mind immediately; I bought bird of prey months after it sold out the day of release at Brewery Creek. The principle in very consistent in every city in my experience though. If you follow Driftwood on Facebook and Twitter you will see they post and tweet locations with remaining stock once the supply begins seriously dropping.

pretty good! i like it a lot

hints of strong citrus, grapefruit etc.

the bitterness goes stands out big time if you let it warm up a bit out of the fridge

If you like IPAs you will like this. Definitely hints of grapefruit.

Funny story, went to the 4th beer store in search of the elusive Sartori, was in the Driftwood area and got excited when I saw Sorachi. Didn't even think to look at the brewery and cleared the shelf :lol

Got to the counter and it dawned on me that it wasn't the right beer. Oh well, grabbed the 4 they had anyway. Anyone tried it?

on another note, i read a post recommending the Stiegl Radler (half beer/half grapefruit juice) and bought one to try out. i've since picked up a couple on each trip to the liquor store, though they're certainly not beer like, they're delicious. thanks to whoever recommend them.

If I rated the Sartori at an 8/8.5 this one is a 5. It's completely flat lacking flavor. A little initial peppery taste then nothing, after taste is like soda water

Just got back from Germany. Holy jesus they do beer right over there. Gonna be the biggest beer snob now.....
