Apparently all you need to do is change some settings in the service menu.

It's free to unlock it.
Give me a sec and I'll post the instructions.

Oh you already have the link to the instructions.
Yes, I can confirm that it works. Just did it last Saturday.

Damn that's a toughie. Handling both, the n4 feels just so much better in hand. That said, the stylus is so awesome on the note2. If you're going to use it often, stick with the Note2. If you need LTE, stick with the note2. If you prefer a bigger screen, note2.

Otherwise, I'd keep the n4.

Awww, damn.
Now you made it even harder for me to decide.
I actually hardly use the stylus but love the big screen. I'm afraid that I am getting use to the bigger screen of the Note II already and will find the Nexus 4 screen too small.
I thought Nexus 4 does work the Canadian LTE with some tweaking?

I'm trying to see if I can trade my sealed Nexus 4 for a Note II because I did promise my wife that I'll be giving her the Note II once I receive the Nexus 4 :ilied:

insomniac 12-20-2012 03:31 PM

How's the battery on the note 2? Who went from s3 or ip5 to note 2? Decided to keep my iPhone 5 just in case I don't like it haha. I want a nexus 4 too ..... Just got my note 2 and I'm soooooo not used to the size LOL it's huge!!!

lol that's so funny. I'm getting my gf the Note 2 because she didn't want the n4 (for the stylus), so I know that feel. :okay:

It's crazy how we adapt to bigger phone screens so quickly. When I got my S3 I thought "this is the most I'd go". Then I set up my gf's Note, and good lord I wanted to keep it for myself.

The S3/N4 look "normal" now.

EmOne 12-20-2012 06:52 PM

lol the s3 is tiny

asian_XL 12-21-2012 01:50 AM

compare my note 2 with my wife's S3, S3 indeed very tiny

i got 26 hours out of mine down to 2% battery

insomniac 12-21-2012 07:16 AM

Lol I gotta say is really fun typing with the pen when using the swipe mode but a lot of the times is off

Is there a way to change how many times the phone vibrates when you get notifications? I don't like how everything vibrates once and u can't tell if they're texts or useless notifications from Facebook when the phone is in my pocket Haha

Gh0stRider 12-21-2012 09:49 AM

I think in the sound settings you can change the vibrate pattern. At least that's the way it is with the S3. Under "Device Vibration"

As for different vibrates for different apps, you're SOL I believe. The best you can do is probably Lightflow and managing the LED. There might be an app so I'd check it out or Google it.

joquio 12-21-2012 10:20 AM

I think the "Device Vibration" only changes the vibration pattern for ringtone.
At least that's how it is on mine. I've changed it and all my notification is still one long vibration, which is annoying to me too.

insomniac 12-21-2012 10:31 AM

:okay: lol maybe I'm just a really heavy phone user cause I'm at 61% right now. Was at 90% when I left for work this morning at 8 but I hope it will last me the day. .. really enjoying this phone right now and i like it a lot more than the s3!!This phone isn't choppy at all! What apps so you guys recommend downloading?

Even without rooting it, the phone itself is already amazing! Maybe one of these days, I'll eventually root it..
