Not worth the upgrade, it's pretty hard to keep up with technology these days.

I will say this though, my biggest gripe about the iPhone 4/4s is the screen is annoyingly short when texting. Not a game changer, but it was one of the things I was hoping they'd improve. Also hoping for a bit wider though.

all my orders say 'Preparing for Shipment' with 'Delivers 9/21-9/25' i ordered on the 14th.

my friend who ordered on the 16th also has a Delivers 9/21-9/25. i think the 2-3 week delivery date is bullshit.

3k here, they better not ship mine on the 13th day..I either want my $50 in credit or I want my phone within the first few days of release lol

Having a similar issue with being charged twice for the phones. I have two phones on one order and have been charged accordingly on my CC but my statement is also showing another charge for one phone only. Not sure wtf is up but my order status for both phones still says 9/21-25 delivery.

I called in to fix up the multiple charging thing that happened to me. From what I understand is apple does like a check to make sure you have money in your account. That should be a payment of 2 iphones which is around 1.5k. That 1.5k doesn't actually pay for the phones since the person I called from apple said each phone will be payed when it is ready to ship. That 1.5k payment will be removed within 1-2 days. So thats why it seems like your paying multiple times. I asked my credit card company to confirm and they said that the 1.5k charge is just on hold, as the vendor (apple) has not made further actions.

Same thing happens when you get gas at a gas station. I used to work for a credit card company - this is standard to place a hold on the amount until you are actually billed for goods.

Well, I checked again and both my phones only dropped about 20-30 positions, now at 2,650 and 4,240 or so. The first time I checked they both dropped over 1,500 places each.

So I guess no more big jumps to speed things up. :(

yes they put a hold on the amount until you are billed. but they charge you on from the amount they already have on hold. not charge you seperately on top of the amount they put on hold. my bank told me the 1600 charged was physically charged already no longer put on hold. and it wouldn't make any sense if they ain't charging you from the amount they requested on hold from your cc lol otherwise say if some ppl doesn't have $3000+ on their cc they won't be able to buy an iphone from apple? coz they'll need $1600 originally (that they put on hold) and then charge you seperately 2x for 780 and then cancel the hold a few days later lol.

until they back out of the sale come friday :ilied:

Not sure how this will all pan out but the charges I spoke of above were listed under "temporary authorizations" on my MBNA MasterCard so hopefully it'll all work out. If not, Apple will be charging me nearly $2300 when my CC limit is set at only $2k

It's because people like "Ulic Qel-Droma" order got canceled. Trust me A LOT of people did what he did and Apple canceled A LOT of the orders.

fuck just checked my order status and is still says preparing for shipment! If it doesn't change to being shipped today I'm going to get worried...

OK how about start a new thread for "I checked my status update and..." posts? Nobody cares. You ordered an iphone you're getting an iphone, just wait for it and share your thoughts then.

There should be some interesting things to talk about soon... Hopefully legit benchmarks start coming out, and more info on the GPU
