Lol, I find every CSR have a different story and you never know what is actually true or not. I think it's best to keep checking the forums and blogs for updated info.

I already posted a link to the benchmark and commented it could be fake (at least it hasn't been confirmed yet).

If this benchmark is true, then the A6 is looking damn impressive. The GS3 is only 11% faster despite being clocked 40% higher. Not to mention it has 4 cores to the A6's 2 cores. It would be interesting to let both run wide open crunching numbers until the battery gives out to see how efficient they are.

looking to buy one with no contract. if i go through fido and reserve one, could i get one with no contract or is it only with contract/upgrade? will the phone be unlocked if i buy with no contract? tia :)

If you buy it through Fido the phone will be locked with contract or not, you have to pay a fee to have it unlocked. Apple is the only one selling unlocked iPhones right now.

Apple online store is the only way to get an unlocked one right now.

On the Apple website it says:
"Buy iPhone 5 with a contract at your favourite Apple Retail Store beginning at 8:00 a.m. on September 21. We can help you choose the right rate plan and get you up and running. Or visit the Apple Online Store to buy an unlocked, no-contract iPhone 5.”

That was another thing I needed answered. I asked a few pages back but don't think it was answered. Does it mean they will only sell locked iphones in the store from now on, or just on launch day...? Was hoping not to buy one online and get it shipped but I guess thats the only way...:okay:

they did specify but for now it's only locked ones. My guess is that it'll be like that from now on.

You can always buy one from on launch day for a "fair" price :ilied:

the only thing that has changed for me is i dropped to 4803

I was number 619 on Rogers when I reserved then it dropped to 611 then to 605. As of yesterday morning, my number was gone and says shipping process has started under the "details" tab

so with the samsung ad the was dissing apple I just want to say that....I would hate to be an android/S3 owner since Samsung is releasing the new S4 in March. This must suck big time for them S3 owners who just purchased their phone sucks to be u your phone is already out dated. I guess Samsung saw how well the Iphone5 was selling so they were like fuck we gotta do something to slow down Apple sales. Yeah I guess debuting another flagship phone not even a year later will sure make your current S3 owners very happy as well!

apple online store is a joke.. they already charged me 1580 for the 2 iphones on 1 order.. and now they just charged me individually again for 790 for the same iphones again? wtf

lol... apple is now telling me my original charge did not went thru even though it's showing up on my statement.. if my original did not go thru.. why did 1 of my iphone show ready for shipping while the other one is waiting for payment? and i'm being just charged 780 for ONE iphoneand not 1580 for 2?? they are full of crap ~~

lol... so finally resolved... it was a problem on their end... fixed it and now told me your shipment for your phone originally scheduled for the 21st will definitely won't arrive by the 21st because the system put you back in at the end??? are you fuking kidding me?? your error cause me spending hours on the phone trying to resolve my cc coz you guys tried to charge me infinite times for the same order that's already paid.. and now i'm put to the back of the line? wow..

They tried to charge me that extra 790 dollars but my credit card maxed out. So when I changed to another credit card, do you think they charged me that extra 790 there?

if you change to another credit card they'll charge it. you should just be like me and call in.. it's a waste of time yes. but it'll resolve a lot faster and you won't get charge extra.. otherwise you'll authorize to pay another 790 and i don't know how you'll get that back =\

Like people don't know Apple is going to release another iPhone next year with better speed, camera and etc...

dude I guess u don't see the point of my post...I know manufactures release phones but to release a phone so close to their so called flagship phone will piss their customers right off. Where as apple releases a phone ONCE every year unlike Samsung and other manufactures release a phone let says every few weeks to a month...

Personally I'm not a fan of apple products generally speaking, I hate their computers and iPods piss me off

However, I have even less of a liking for Samsung products, and the one thing you can always count on with apple products is that they simply -work-

If Sony or another manufacturer had a iPhone competitor running android I might consider changing, until then nah, since the 3G iPhone has done everything and more than I've expected/meeded
