those aren't actually read receipts. one check mark = message successfully delivered to whatsapp server. one check marks = message successfully delivered to recipient's phone but doesn't mean they read it.

kakaotalk has read reciepts too but no online status

Too many messaging apps out there and every time a new one comes out everyone switch to it and tries to get everyone else to switch to it and it never ends. First it was whatsapp and then hookt and its probably something new now. I just use text messaging and the built in iMessage now :thumbsup:

unfortunately not everyone uses an iPhone and not everyone has MMS. Also no group chats (don't tell me about iMessage having group chats because their group chat is HORRIBLE).

so that is why everyone is stuck with whatsapp :(

anybody elses facebook messenger and facebook app started overlapping? it used to work well together, but now both show notifications of the same message, and often times notifications will be delayed on the fb app.

^I don't like how the notification doesn't get cleared after you viewed it. This happens with instagram too

Not interested in iPhone 5S since its only going to be a bit faster the the iPhone 5. Looks like Apple is doing it "Samsung Style". Next will be the iPhone 5S2 and iPhone 5S3 :troll:

Im a die hard blackberry user, and I have to say the iphone5 is an okay phone eh. It's very simple phone to use.

did anybody recieve a notification for a carrier update? I have a factory unlocked ip5 and am afraid this will somehow end up locking my phone :lol

I watched him the same day the iPad Mini was announced. He said it was a "disaster", it was priced way too high that nobody would buy it and that it would be a "dog" of a product.

Wonder what he thinks now?

As somone whose used an iPhone since the 3G I've gotta say the 5 has been a pretty big let down personally
