Nabs, here are some additonal apps.

Canuck
TSN
Opentable
Cineplex - if you have a scene card you can just enter the number on the app and have them scan your phone. 1 less card to carry. Love this app

Anyone's iPhone 5 charging really slow via USB?

threezero 09-26-2012 10:39 PM

Passbook say its compatible with cineplex. I wonder if theatres have started implementing it yet.

mines faster than ever actually.

not sure if theres a difference from my usb3 port to my 2 or the wall plug though.

nabs 09-26-2012 11:10 PM

USB 2.0 has 100mA with a maximum of 5 unit loads supplying up to 500mA

USB 3.0 has 150mA with a maximum of 6 unit loads supplying up to 900mA

plugging into USB 3.0 will cause a faster charge than USB 2.0 - Mine charges fine.

How do people keep doing all these tests and stuff? It's like burning phones practically. Drop tests, scartch tests, burn tests. All these iphones gone to the trash after the test and the money spent. Are they sponsored or something?

Sky_High 09-27-2012 12:39 AM

It's already September 27, can't believe someone would even bother posting such an ad with a price like this.....

***Brand New In Box, Factory Unlocked 16GB Black iPhone 5 - $1200

I'm not going I read through 65 pages, but, with iOS6, should I upgrade my iPhone 4 or wait?

yes, get the white one though. there's an issue with the coating on the black phones around the antenna.

I meant the iOS update. I'd never get another iPhone.

If you EVER use Maps, then no.

If you don't care, go for it. Nothing groundbreaking, but a lot of little tweaks were made. This didn't need to be called "6" it probably should have been "5.2" or whatever.

But until Google releases a proper Map app, I wouldn't recommend it. I went for it since I never use maps on the ipad anyway, just my phone

Expresso 09-27-2012 08:22 AM

Does iOS 6/iPhone 5 have the ability to switch down to 3G/4G and not use LTE?

Apple has a pretty nice warranty on damage goods. For scratches, they can probably just replace the back (ie: iPhone 4/4S back only cost about 30 dollars to replace, not sure about iPhone 5). If it's out of warranty, Apple would offer you a hugely discounted price for a replacement.
Also, the publicity that people get from it or that companies get from it by destroying the iPhone probably generate some form of money.

Most of the iOS6 features that Apple is marketing about is incompatible with the iPhone 4.

Doesn't seem to be overly beneficial for any devices older than the 4S, unfortunately.
