i love this phone :) Getting 10mpbs down in my house with the LTE enabled.. and my area doesnt have LTE or very weak LTE.. cant wait to test more tomo.. $400 for this amazing piece of hardware, now with LTE :D |
Dont you need an LTE plan to get LTE speeds even if you have LTE enabled on this phone, wouldnt it be using the HSPA+ connection? Im confused here..:ahwow: Here is the article over at gsm arena for those who already have the N4 :okay: http://www.gsmarena.com/lte_can_be_e...-news-5116.php |

From the screenshots posted it seems like even with LTE enabled the speeds are still 4G speed though? Or maybe the ones I've seen so far just have poor connections. |

LTE working fine here :D https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-6...s937/photo.jpg I have a feeling Google will find a way to plug this loophole. Nexus 4 is only FCC certified for HSPA+, and not LTE Honestly, I've already disabled LTE and went back to HSPA+...it was fun to play with, but if LTE suddenly disappeared, I wouldn't shed any tears over it. It's fast, but not a requirement for what I use my phone for. |
^ how was the signal strength since the nexus 4 doesn't have lte amplifier and antenna |
damn it GOOGLE!! wheres my N4!! |

But I can't say if that's due to hardware, because my brothers Note2 (also on Rogers) has a around 2-3 bars as well. In fact, my LTE speeds were faster than his Note2 by about 5mbps when we tested together. I don't understand how the LTE hardware works, but I was under the impression those missing amplifiers and antennas were the reason why the Nexus4 only works on Band4 LTE? I don't know if it affects Band4 signal strength. |
i think it's extremely impressive google launched a high-spec'd phone for $300 i'm honestly shocked the LTE antenna works...congrats to everyone who upgraded but I think im gonna stick with the galaxy nexus (if I knew there would be LTE I would've jumped ship too...I'm sure GNex resale value has tanked in the last few weeks) |

But then again, there are rumours that Google is partially subsidizing each phone sold. |
I get four bars lte signal in van. Got over 50k down 25k up.. Even if Google patches it out in a patch. Developers will always find a way to bring it back.. I compared my phone to the galaxy note 2.. That phone has noticeable lag, and I much prefer the screen on the n4. Posted via RS Mobile |
do you guys that are connecting to lte on a lte plan? |
