^the settings are so confusing :S |
5 Attachment(s) Finally got my N4 today. Was I sent a re-sealed N4? The box looks like it has been taped up again. I see the original tape under the top one. |
dude i would rma that lol. open it, play around with it, use it for a week then rma it lol. |
The hell? Seriously looks like someone at Google thought they'd play around with one on their lunch then just put it back and hope nobody noticed the shitty tape job. Google has definitely NOT delivered with the N4 whatsoever.. |
I called Google and the guy said it might be someone put my account info in for me or something like that. I said it would be stupid for Google and a waste of their time if they did that for all the phones. Will RMA this sh!t. Should I even open the box and turn on the phone. Can I return/RMA it if it's open (in this case - non hardware issue)? |
I'd open it for fun just to see if theres any fingerprints in there. You're gonna RMA, you might as well :p But now you wait for another :okay: |
I'm wondering that too, can you RMA it for non-hardware issue? They could respond to you and say that it is an open box due to QA/QC checks. |
just make something up and say that your phone autorestarts lol |

Anyone know how to kill the softkey bar tho? |
^In my ROM you can turn it off in the navigation bar height by changing it to 0 |
still on stock and plan to leave it on stock. spent most of it either idling or very minor facebooking, emailing, whatsapp/text with very minor gaming. this was the first charge after depleting my battery to 0% for the first time since i got this phone. i generally don't completely discharge battery ever and probably don't plan to next time. edit: one minor detail - i unplugged it from charger fully charged before going to bed rather than the conventional unplug in the morning so that added a lot of hours unused while i was sleeping. normally i unplug it in the morning and it lasts before bedtime where i normally let it charge overnight. http://imageshack.us/a/img208/281/sc...3012322004.png http://imageshack.us/a/img850/5673/s...3012322003.png |
Opened the box and it definitely was taken out before. Dust and fingerprint on the screen. All the other packaged material looks untouched and sealed though. |

When I turned on my phone, nothing was linked to my account. I had to enter all that info. I called in again to ask to RMA the phone. The lady sounded clueless to the problem and said it'll get RMA. When I asked about the process she just said we'll send you a new phone and said bye. Do I get any email confirmation for the RMA? Posted via RS Mobile |
You'll receive another email shortly after the phone call confirming the RMA. Posted via RS Mobile |

I just got mine as well. Double taped in the back of the box, finger prints and dust on the front. Is it suppose to have a protective plastic sticker on the back? Or just the front? I have to enter everything in about my account too. Posted via RS Mobile |
It should have protective plastic on both back and front. I read some people say they receive an email when they rma a device. Also a charge is made to your cc and will be removed when you return the original device |
my phone restarts itself all the time, when it's being charged and when it's just in my pocket. I rma'd it, and the replacement phone is on the way.. |

I'm sure there's plenty of people like me whore happily take it off your hands if you don't want it. |
1 Attachment(s) Attachment 15296 Well it kind of made me :okay: after opening the box and seeing the finger-prints & dust. Still a nice upgrade from my N1, but I'm pretty sure I'll switch to m7 or experia z first chance I get. |

however, it sucks how the phone never came with headphones. not like i expect good headphones but id like to have a spare set around. they took waaaay too long to stock up and deliver the phone. repackaging the items and seeing fingerprints and dust on rs'ers phones are just  after i sold my nexus 4 and note 2 i went back iphone 5. gotta say that iOS is super out dated compared to androids but its been way more reliable. the phone feels solid, the app selection is so much better. stock apps are awesome especially with itunes and its so user friendly. the phone just responds. doesnt lag when it wants to. but apple seriously has to step up their game with customization and all which probably wont happen. wouldnt have sold the nexus if it had better stability and battery life. |
Dunno but my Nexus 4 is very stable and very fast. Never had a random reboot and everything runs so damn smooth. I have a 4S from work and I definitely do not enjoy using it as much. |
wtf it seems the lastest shipment is full of lolz Posted via RS Mobile |
