Can only have 23 on the roster when they submit their lineups today. 8D, 13F, 2G. Guess the trade pushed Hunter out, which kind of sucks. I was hoping to see him get a couple games at the start - at least he was exciting to watch.

Same team with a slightly different bottom 6, but not any better.

anyhow.. I think by youth, Gillis and Torts might have meant something else. Perhaps Lack, JS, Jensen, Corrado, instead.

Jensen and JS are injured, Lack made the team, Corrado would have made it but playing top minutes is way better for his development. It was a stretch to begin with to think 18 year olds would crack the lineup.. But at the same time with suspensions and injuries you'd expect at least a couple games.

Again, I do think they'll get their shot maybe later in the season like how Jensen did

I don't mind hybrid icing, doesn't effect the game for me as a fan. If anything, it decreases the likelihood of an awful accident - see Tyler Fedun, Joni Pitkanen, Kurtis Foster, etc - which I hate seeing.

Agreed that that may have been what they meant, but none of them really played well enough to make the team, Corrado aside (and he didn't even make the team). Lack has been okay but has looked shaky at times. Jensen was invisible and got hurt, doesn't deserve to be here. Not sure where JS fits in, even if healthy.

I guess a lot of people were looking forward to a younger lineup after all the talk about it, so it kind of sucks to see them icing pretty much the same lineup as the past 2 seasons. Guess we'll see what happens.

We have a new coach though, so things are still better than before

Another first round exit that's what :okay:

not much you can do about icing a younger lineup if most of the players aren't ready. shinkarkuk has good speed and vision but hes simply pushed off the puck far too easily. horvat looked lost and seemed to have trouble with the speed of the game at first. but if you count the waiver pick up and trade as well, the team is a little younger. Lack (25), Dalpe (23), Schroeder (23), Stanton (24), Weber (25) are still around. depending on how the other younger players do from now until next year you are looking at the likely addition of one or two of the following : shinkaruk, horvat, gaunce, jensen corrado. seems to me its getting younger, just not as fast as people expected

At least Bo and Shinny can play for team Canada and in the memorial cup, it'll be super valuable for their development, so it isn't THAT bad
