Just get them to forward it to Canada?

I've still been getting all my packages that way, just consolidate several packages into one

MG1 07-03-2021 05:36 AM

Borders not open yet, but as soon as it does, I'm outta here. I've signed up/subscribed to all kinds of places in Bellingham. I get updates from Fred Myer, Trader Joe's, casinos, lol. I keep getting these Jack in Her Box emails and I'm craving that US pink slime. I'll line up for hours. Order stuff and pick up at 24/7 Parcel. Did you know they are Canadian owned? Anyway............ I miss going down there for day trips.

StylinRed 07-03-2021 06:16 AM

I'm not sure about the others but package express is Canadian owned too

I remember the owner brought my packages thru customs, and let me pick them up at his house once, that was pretty nice of him, wish he maintained that service tho :lol (maybe he did I never asked)

Package Express, eh?

I will check them out. Thanks.

Kilinim 07-03-2021 07:33 AM

Isn't 5D Packages also Canadian owned?

Gh0stRider 07-03-2021 12:33 PM

I've had packages at 24/7 since last March lol.
Need the border open, not paying $50 for shipping to Canada for a $5 item

yray 07-05-2021 07:49 AM

mg1 gonna run goods for us across the border? :lol

I'm in the same boat. I have brake rotors sitting there for my Fiesta, cheaper to just buy new ones than have those shipped over.

blkgsr 07-05-2021 11:31 AM

i've got 2 packages at 5D....one since November. thankfully they aren't charging additional storage time until the boarders open

68style 07-05-2021 12:32 PM

I was forced to ship 2 things from P2P in Point Roberts at massive cost and just abandon 1 other because they refused to hold anything and charge massive storage fees. Assholes. Won’t be going back there after… stayed loyal even after the 24/7 opened but no more!

JDMDreams 07-05-2021 01:41 PM

^^ really, shell shipping station has been really good and not charging extra fees

6793026 07-05-2021 08:36 PM

^ just imagine you have freaking thousands of items sitting there. They ain't an amazon warehouse having the storage space to just have ur shit sit there.

I feel for them

Gh0stRider 07-06-2021 11:28 PM

i dont think any of them are charging for storage right now.
i got a few packages at 24/7

Vansterdam 07-07-2021 04:15 AM

i can only imagine how full their buildings must be and what a gong show it's going to be once the boarders open up and everyone is rushing down there to pick up their shit.

Even a Trader Joe's whore der like me ran out of their stuff. I thought I had a year's supply of TJ's Carolina Gold BBQ Sauce, Tea Tree Shampoo, frozen products, etc...... wait, it's been over a year............. no wAnder. Haiyah!!

Actually, I still have a bit of shampoo left and I used up the last drop of the Carolina Gold on my BBQ'd corn on the cob last weekend. I still have one bag of TJ chinese flied lice (you plick) in the freezer. Fuiyoh!

It pays to be a hoarder, man. This pandemic has made it even more advantageous. Buying those boxes of N95 masks (genuine 3M N95) from Bellingham's Hardware Sales when masks were sold out in all of Canada saved me from purchasing masks at crazy high prices. I also ran out of those, as I was predicting this pandemic lasting about 6 months? I already had a good supply of TP, paper towels, bottled water, propane, etc. I'm preparing for the next disaster, gulolol.

Whole house generator/inverter, weapons (crossbow, swords, etc.), grenade and mortar launchers, etc. Turning the house into a fortress............... ok, need to take more ritalin.

BTW, Boarder
: a person who pays to live and have daily meals at another person's house or at a school. : a person who uses a snowboard.

I think 5D was some RS member here which is why i stopped going to PR and went to them instead.

Glad they haven't shut down or anything, I definitely have like 50 things I've been waiting to order once the border opens again.

With the gas prices hitting almost $2/L on 94, I wonder if it's finally worthwhile for me to make the 45min 1 way trip to get fuel now.

What are the laws for filling up jerry cans and bringing it back?

Laws? What laws? Just bring your own garbage bags.

Wut? First I heard of this rule, no jerry tanks through the tunnel!??

Edit: looked it up, apparently they're classified as dangerous goods or something. gulolol well shit been hauling those for half a decade with not a clue it was a thing.

MG1 07-08-2021 05:34 AM

Good thing borders are closed, 'cause the Canadian dollar is tanking like the canucks (unintentionally).

Doesn't matter if our dollar was worth 50¢ on the dollar, I'd still go Trader Joe's. hee hee.

Not yet. It was a bit hypothetical but good to know to get info now.

Nlkko 08-18-2021 01:44 PM

Anyone can recommend a service that forward parcel, particularly couriered documents--from Canada to US?

Not used for frequent shopping just for documents once in a while.
