Heard the announcement about Botchford first thing in the morning. It was definitely hard to hear and you got a sense of what he meant to the other guys. Such an outpouring of support, memories and great stories kept streaming in throughout the day. He will be missed! |
Canes up 3-0 in the series now :ahwow: |
Botchfords passing definitely surprised me when I heard it after work. I thought it was odd when I turned to 1040 and they were talking about him. I really started to like his hockey insight in the past few years |
I listened in to Botch anytime he was on air. I will miss him. |
Avs pull even :fuckyea: |
the province reporting today that in an interview done in Sweden, Eriksson says he's not 100% seeing eye to eye with Green. Essentially saying that he's still a good player in the NHL and his lack of production is due to ice time lol. please, please, PLEASE be the catalyst that finally sparks a trade of some sort to get rid of him... |
oh god yes please no way he has a NTC right?? |

Fuck that disinterested prick Eriksson... where's Brian Burke and his "I'll give him a ride to the airport" comment about Schaeffer years back... applies well here. |
That was Umberger. |
Quote:
"But this circle hasn't been complete without some bumps. He (Schaefer) held out before the 2001-02 season, and so irked Brian Burke that then Canucks general manager offered to pay his taxi fare to the airport." And it was Trent Klatt that he offered to drive to the airport: "I understand why he had to do this. I have no hard feelings. If he gets the deal he should take it. But like I've said before, if he can get the kind of contract he's looking for, I'll drive him to the airport." - Brian Burke when Trent Klatt signed with the LA Kings" He also said it to Umberger... I guess it must be his favourite quote? |

stash him in Utica |
they should, break his soul and make him retire |
Eriksson is still easily an NHL player and he’s not 100% wrong in that he’d have better stats with a larger role, but does he deserve a larger role? Short answer is obviously not. He’s a bottom 6 forward until he proves otherwise. He’s produced at 32 points/82 in 3 years, had 29 in 81 last year. Can’t blame the coach that had him with Pettersson and Horvat for extended stretches of the year. |
discussion on the radio was bang on again today. before these comments, fans were (at best) indifferent about him. all you could do was sigh. realistically, there's more than just him as a problem so we put up with it. now, that indifference has and will continue to turn into animosity towards him still being on the team. he should have shut his mouth and continued to collect his money (for his own sake). PS: things not looking good for the Islanders lol |

Markstrom got Finnished there |
stay safe this summer, demko |
McAvoy illegal head check gets 2min? Maybe calls always go the Bruins way because the Bruins owner is the Chairman of the NHL Board of Governors |
Ya it looked bad for sure. That said McAvoy was committed to the hit before Anderson leaned back to cut inside it looked like to me. He’ll probably get suspended but man the game moves that quick. Anderson continues down the boards and it’s shoulder to shoulder.. |
man, fuck boston |
-was cheering on Columbus to win tonight in order to bring the series to a game 7. FeelsBadMan -really wanna see Ratface and his bad news Bruins lose a playoff series. |
Game 7 thanks to Landeskog! |
