Including the pick used to draft himself, Taylor Hall’s team has had the first overall pick SIX times in TEN years.

Canuck Luck is all...................

Need to be in one of those, "Radio will never die," ads. "Reporting from Jupiter Station.......and, how about those Canucks. 187 years in the NHL and still no title."

pastarocket 04-09-2019 07:15 PM

There needs to be transparency in the draft lottery. Why do we not see on TV the draft lottery balls placed into a machine??

Big market teams Rangers and Blackhawks get to draft in the top three. Jersey gets the first pick again.

Is that midget Bettman putting more lottery balls in a machine behind a curtain to help the Rangers and Blackhawks?

Shorty rigged the draft!

Even if Canucks were dead last in the league for multiple years, we'd never get a number one overall draft pick lol

In Jim Benning we trust that we can get an impact player at #10

highfive 04-09-2019 08:18 PM

Apparently Canucks was one number away again from picking 1st.

All good. 10TH still get you a really good player. Krebs boldy or dach

Pretty sure AQ or GMJB said that there are other NHL execs (owners/GMs) in the room when they drop the balls in and do the draw. I'm also pretty sure that Ernst & Young wouldn't risk ruining their reputation just to rig the draft for the NHL.

Happened during the 2016 draft (Matthews), last year (Dahlin), and this year (Hughes)

WTH do those 4 numbers even mean?

Exactly like a real lottery. Pray you get the winning numbers for the first three picks. Shittier teams get more number combinations. After the first three picks are done, it's by standings.

6thGear. 04-10-2019 06:01 AM

At least the Oilers didn't get a top 3 pick

jdmhaze 04-10-2019 02:25 PM

That's twice in the last 3 years that Colorado had the best odds to win the lottery but ended up getting their lowest possible pick at #4.

pastarocket 04-10-2019 07:17 PM

What a comeback win for Columbus. Tampa chokes in game 1 by blowing a three goal lead.

CBJ wins 5-1. Wow....

Obsideon 04-12-2019 08:27 PM

Crazy playoffs so far, so many upsets! Who would have thought Islanders, Blues and Columbus are all up 2-0?

From what I read only the top 2 picks were locks for stardom. Picks 3 to 15 are pretty much a toss-up, in Benning we trust?

whitev70r 04-12-2019 09:19 PM

I know what some of you are thinking. Just want to point out and remind you of the Washington vs. Columbus 1st round series last year in the 2018 playoffs ... and then what happened to Washington.

Infiniti 04-14-2019 12:42 PM

Stick a fork in the Pens, because they done!

Kadri doing Kadri things:

Last year's first round suspension for Kadri:

Kadri with a similar cross check on Glendening 3 years ago (starts @ 2:30):

Kadri with another suspension for head hunting:

Gotta think hes done as a leaf, especially if they end up losing the series

DavidNguyen 04-14-2019 03:01 PM

But who would want him? Don't think even Belichek and the New England Patriots could fix him!
