Lol the funny thing is the 1 guy who might still get it right likely picked it for fun. I don't think any logical person would have picked the two 8th seeders to be in the cup final but shiet it might be true!

I believe I heard on the radio that if the flames lost, this would be the first time in NHL history that the top seeded teams in both the east and west went out in the first round. I admit I was half paying attention but pretty sure that’s what I heard.

I’m sure Jmac will chime in considering his penchant for stats lol

Yes, first time it's happened in NHL history.

They mention it at the beginning of the game recap.

I pretty much stopped following hockey due to the strikes every time the contract comes up but still to this day any time the flames get knocked out of the playoffs is a good day in my books. Them being a 1 seed getting knocked off by an 8 makes it that much more satisfying.
