The Official 2019/2020 Canucks & NHL Thread Seattle’s ownership is on crack to choose the name “Kraken”. Will that team have a giant squid as their mascot? :lawl: The jersey logo and team colours are cool though. They got that part right. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Arena be known as the Krackden and the fans the Krackheads? |
I dislike the colour scheme. The rink will be known as the Krakhouse. |
Can't wait to face the Seattle Karens! |

Personally I like it, think they hit it out of the park with the logo/colours.. better than LVGK anyway If they weren't pacific NW rivals, I'd definitely be a Kraker/Krakhead/whatever In fact, a little worried they're going to be a preferred destination over Vancouver for players. Get all the benefits of the northwest lifestyle with none of the media attention |
I like it, dont' love it but its not gross. Reminds me of a cross between Predators and Jets. |
I like the sweaters more than the VGK i think.. they did a good job with the color scheme and logo imo |

But Kraken? Surely they had some other sea monsters worthy of consideration? The colours are GREAT though for sure. Logos too, I especially like how they incorporated the Space Needle into the design of the anchor SeemsGood |

Double post. |

Seattle's mascot = Krackhead Karen The player's wives= Krack whores Seattle's GM = Krack dealer The players = Krackers? :lawl: |
Snivy is their mascot |

Terrible logo IMO. It's a solid logo for the shoulder patch where simplicity should be desired in limited space, but it's not enough emphasis for a primary logo for the chest. Looks like they just took a S and fluffed it up a bit and put a random eye in there to make it look "edgy". There's no way anyone would identify an octopus tentacle unless they know they're looking for something that relates to a Kraken. There's a difference between starting the design with the team name and cleverly creating a letter (eg: Canucks, NJD, CLB, Ducks, Avs, LVK, etc) vs taking a letter first, and then spicing it up with elements of the team name. The end result, the logo still blatantly looks like a letter with very little creativity. My first impression was, this looks like a MLB logo. Probably because it doesn't look far off from this: https://www.hueteundmuetzen.de/image...e_mariners.jpg |
Just randomly remembered - For the launch of NHL11, the Sedins were doing autographs at the EB Games in Metrotown for a limited edition cover (instead of the one with Toews). Does anyone still have their copy? I don't have mine anymore, but it looked like this. http://assets.sbnation.com/assets/43...e_3_medium.JPG I remember getting there at 8 and waiting in line until well after midnight. Good times. |

Logo was to pay homage the 1917 Seattle team that won the Stanley cup. |

Ugh Ferland got dummied so hard there......... |
https://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/nhl/...-presentation/ A good article about what life will be inside the Edmonton and Toronto hubs for players. Concierge service for the players so that they can order food, clothing etc, without having to climb a wall to leave the bubble. |
