I miss Hutton, always smiling even on completely garbage teams |
NHLShop.com and Foco.com are selling face masks for all NHL teams. They’re expensive compared to the other masks you can buy during this pandemic . Three Canucks masks for 36 CAD. :lawl: https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...995e973456.jpg Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
The disclaimers, though |
If you're just looking to purchase cloth masks (non-surgical grade) you can find a ton being sold on IG and Facebook through people with seamstress experience. A lot of charitable causes are also having fundraisers by selling them, so I'd suggest going that route first before doing it through for profit companies. Vancouver Aquarium teamed up with the Whitecaps with proceeds benefiting the aquarium: https://vanaquashop.org/vancouver-aq...caps-facemask/ Small Dog Rescue BC Society is fundraising through masks: https://www.instagram.com/p/B_gYVfuDkpA/ & https://www.facebook.com/pg/smalldogrescuebc/ If you have an animal rescue/charitable cause in mind then I'd suggest reaching out and asking them if they have something like that setup and support them if they do. Otherwise, if you're still employed and can afford to donate some money to those causes that are near and dear to your heart then I urge you to do so as donations are drying up because of the economy right now. |
Another slow news day in the NHL. Thornton cut off his beard. :lawl: https://twitter.com/SanJoseSharks/st...744364549?s=20 |

Dr. Bonnie and Adrian Dix said no Canucks until vaccine! I think they mean no full stadium. But you might have heard that Vancouver put a bid in for the end of season tournament/ playoffs, presumably with no fans. Why not allow fans in with distancing and fill it with 30% capacity, every 3 seat or something? Better than nothing, it'll just look like a regulation game for Florida Panthers. |
Yeah just was about to post that. Calling Jake losers etc. There goes his career! |
|
lol the guy screenshot an apology that his agent wrote and sent it out as his own too. he wont be in the nhl anymore |
The losers he played with got him enough games to collect a full pension at least. He always struck me as being a complete piece of shit when he played in Portland. Dirty rat on the ice, apparently not any better off it, either. |
Says the guy who bounces around the league. lol. He called his Washington teammates losers. I mean..Ovi..?? Really? |

Counting on a vaccine to put an end to this is currently the biggest fallacy that people are using, whether they know it or not. Never in human history have we come up with a vaccine for something like this. And now people want to place all their bets behind one that works? In "12 to 18 months"? :rukidding: |

COVID-19: No going to a Canucks game until a vaccine is found, but pubs can open May 19 https://vancouversun.com/news/local-...pen-next-week/ There will be no live-audience professional sports, international tourism, gatherings of more than 50 people (except in big stores), conventions or large concerts until either a COVID-19 vaccine is found, broad treatment is available or herd immunity is developed, the B.C. government revealed today. |

Also took shots at Virtanen and Pearson’s wife (former teammates). |

What if the vaccine ends up being incompatible with a huge segment of the population? Does it get taken away? Do those people have to stay home? The whole "vaccine will save us all" narrative is the next battle we'll be arguing about, and then inevitably dealing with. Not to get all tin foily, but it's kind of fucked up how most people just assume a vaccine will just be this innocuous thing that will "just work" I assume most people don't pay attention to how effective vaccination is overall - think about how many people suddenly know how many die from the flu. And we have a vaccine for that! Kind of.... Then you have the mumps vaccine. Nobody worries about the mumps anymore. But that vaccine is only about 80% effective. |
removed - wrong place for it |

Don't quite understand why fellow athletes and people are getting so virtuous all of a sudden? You mean to tell me this doesn't happen ... like a flip switches from minor hockey/Jr hockey to NHL and players become all clean, holy, monogamous, and gentlemenly? I think it's the 'guy got caught' syndrome. |
Leipsic’s contract getting terminated. That was quick. Man is it the lack of sports news? Twitter and 1040 even 950 all reporting the brackett benning shit. Imagine he re-signs a new contract once the season starts back up. Lol |
the reporting on brackett just shows how shitty reporters are here. first it was he didnt like podz and was upset benning decided with him. now its he always loved podz and benning didnt want him. then it was every bust pick was something benning overruled him on, and every pick that panned out was because of brackett now they are saying his original contract was 3 years, now benning is offering 2 and how thats super disrespectful. they dont even remember that theres the possible lockout in sept 2022 |
Leipsic should seriously consider if he is eligible to apply for government benefits now that he is out of a job. CERB. :lawl: Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
