Jet Black Jim has to prioritize Pettersson and Hughes’ contracts in a flat cap world before spending elsewhere. Everyone would be pissed if did he didn’t. His hands are tied until those contracts are signed and its due to circumstance IMO. |

no real big names got moved really |
Graves was a huge one. Carolina has 3 amazing young Dmen and 1 of them will be exposed. TBL has to expose some big names. It may be that teams are wary after the fallout from the VGK expansion but…….. stuff was definitely out there that we needed and it was our best shot in a flat cap. |

I think after the Vegas expansion, GMs realise that if u multiple good players being exposed, its best just to lose 1 rather than trade 1 of them for pennies on the dollar and then seattle just picking another good player off your roster. |
I would have had zero issues with Gad or Lockwood and a pick for Graves… I don’t think Gad will ever make the NHL |

Look at Nashville. Exposing their two centres. Trading away arcidsson. |
Montreal really selling it ... don't pick Carey, don't pick Carey! |
Montreal kneeds Price back. |
Chris Johnston @reporterchris Official #canucks protection list Protected: Boeser, Dickinson, Horvat, Miller, Motte, Pearson, Pettersson, Juolevi, Myers, Schmidt, Demko. Available: Beagle, Eriksson, Highmore, MacEwen, Rouseel, Virtanen, Bowey, Holtby. I doubt that the Kraken GM will take our overpaid fourth line players such as Beagle and Roussel. -definitely not Loui. LUL |

make them sweat a bit :lol |
Would the Canadiens be that bad off to lose Price? I think it's a great bold move by their management even if he gets taken... they kinda lucked out to get as far as they did in the playoffs, their team isn't that good and Price has maybe 1 or 2 elite years left in him at most? Getting rid of that salary would be a godsend for them to do a quick retool/rebuild they have so many great under 23 players. I think it's safe to say the window for winning a Cup with Price has almost shut with him being 33 now... he's turning 34 in August. If they shed Price and Weber's salary that's like $20 million off their cap... |

So we lose Lind to the Kracken... It's crazy the entire list has leaked already!! ESPN must be so pissed since this is their first NHL broadcast. |

I'm hoping this builds up to some sort of trades to this evening. Plus Kraken drafting all low cap players. |

Very nice D corps, good goaltending, hard working forward group with questionable scoring ability though |
That is a deep deep backend. Mark Giordano, Adam Larsson, Vince Dunn, Hayden Fleury, Jamie Oleksiak, and Jeremy Lauzon as the probable top 6? Some strong candidates in the wings. I wouldn't be surprised if the Kraken trade of their D for a more offensive player. I agree with 68, it is going to be hard to find scoring with that lineup. I would have taken a flyer on one of Tarasenko or Ryan Johansen based on cap space. |

I thought some players were traded by just reading the last name. I didn't know there were so many players with the same last names. |
Kraken y u no pickup Canucks players with shit contracts :yuno: |

Imo I’d rather have Motte over Lind at this point in time |
Well that was ... uneventful lol So what happens now that we are stuck with Holtby for another year? I thought for sure they were taking him to mentor the other goalies. |
