He’s not a #1 he’s a 2/3

Can you pay a guy who doesn’t get 50 points who’s a 2/3 7.5?

I’d let him walk if he doesn’t want 7

bobbinka 04-15-2024 02:02 PM

7 or 7.5, whatever. sign long deal, trade later if it doesnt work. plenty of teams would want him. at least utilize him for the next few years Hughes is signed through.

do you guys want to go back to what we had for the last 10 years? pls no

Hondaracer 04-15-2024 02:18 PM

I think the counter argument is you could get someone making 5 and stick them with Hughes for similar results

Hughes is the driver of the pair, and Hronek has very rarely played with anyone else

bobbinka 04-15-2024 02:57 PM

Even McDavid needs some talent to play with if they want to raise the cup. He's been there for NINE years now :lol

While Hughes can make players around him good, the other argument is if you have a perfect fit that's working, is it worth rocking the ship and breaking what already works, just to find someone else and hope it works?

That being said, it does seem a lot for a Dman that can't get 50 pts.
But he is at 48 though, with 2 more games to go. lol

AzNightmare 04-15-2024 03:40 PM

Preds down 2-0........

We really need them to at least get 1 point to clinch 1st wildcard spot.

Otherwise, there's a good chance Vegas/LA passes them and pushes them to 2nd wildcard spot.

Then Canucks will need to try to go for 1st in the West... which is unlikely.

You mean like.. Hyman? lol

Essentially a plug-in who fit. Exactly the same thing I’m talking about

Hymen's been there for 3 years, so unless you're saying they're going to win this year.... But i know that's not true, because Canucks are going to win this year.

Devon Toews is probably the most comparable to Hyronek. They sit neck and neck stats wise. And Toews got $7,250,000 starting next year. Hyronek being 3 years younger and RHD would fetch more. So 7.5M to 8M is reasonable.

Holyyyyyyyy fuck the Wings and Habs ending was epic. Caps/Pens/Wings/Flyers gonna come down to the last game of the season for that final East wild card spot

bobbinka 04-15-2024 07:07 PM

Oilers up 9-1 on the Sharks after 2 periods, lol

yeah i watched the highlights, seriously epic come back win. that had to be a fantastic hockey to attend. worth every penny for wings fans lol. if wings win again tmrw, the tie breaker goes to them and they're in. MTL's only motivation is to ruin their party.

From TSN:
The Red Wings will make the playoffs if they win at Montreal and Washington loses at Philadelphia on Tuesday night

Canucks can't win the conference. If Dallas wins their final game, they will have 113 points.
Canucks can max get 111. even if Stars lose their game and canucks win the final two, I believe Dallas having more Wins = they win the tie breaker.

canucks just need to win 1 more game and claim the division out right. Oilers with 2 left can get a max of 108 points.

Won't know who the team plays until LA and VGK finish their schedule. its a tight race to the finish

whitev70r 04-15-2024 09:31 PM

McDavid joins the 100 Assist in a season club.

First tie-breaker is by # of Regulation Wins, which Canucks have more of.

Yeah, RW column is the first tiebreaker.
Canucks have more reg wins than Oilers can get as well, so Canucks really only need 1 more point to clinch.

It would be great if Dallas can just win, so Canucks can also win their last 2 without shooting themselves in the foot. Better to end off on a high note with 2 wins.

^ at least the Prez trophy is out of reach.

Going to the game tonight. Got some cheaper game day tickets online.
Glad to see Demko back. It's fan appreciation night. Wonder what goodies they'll have.
