Bring on playoff hockey!

Hondaracer 04-17-2024 09:45 AM

I want to play the preds, even if it means more shitty travel for the Canucks

Mostly from a selfish point of view in hopes of seeing some actual decent hockey. The kings would be brutal and we just don’t match up with Vegas. Also after going to the game in Vegas it seems like a VERY hard place to play as the visitor. The fans are crazy and the whole atmosphere etc. makes me wish Vancouver wasn’t so full of whiners complaining the music is too loud etc. Vegas was so over the top and everyone was completely into it

whitev70r 04-17-2024 09:50 AM

^ they say as a secondary market, NSH would be hella easier to get tickets.

American fans are just crazy about sports. One trip to Seattle and you can tell right away. They are able to have NFL, MLB, NHL, MLS. That is not including college football. I am willing to bet the Washington Huskies pull more fans than our own Lions? lol.

Saw a clip of yesterday of players giving their jersey to fans. Is it a game worn jersey from the past? My mind keeps thinking it must be soaked with sweat and pretty nasty to bring home if it was literally the game they played against Calgary.

It's game game worn jersey right off their backs from last nights game.

Hronek’s chirp against the Flames bench during their game last night.

What a troll! :lawl:

What a game between lightning and the maple laughs.
Kucherov joins the 100-assist club after Mc David. Matthew didn't hit 70 goals.

Canucks looking they will play against the Preds unless they win against the Jets to win the Western conference then it would be LA.

Edit: I guess it could still be against Vegas if LA wins their last game and Vegas loses their last.

So if we want a Nashville matchup, I guess we want Dallas to win tonight or nux to lose their next game so they don’t win the western conference.

Playoff schedule came out already for the East

Saturday: NYI v CAR 2pm , TOR v BOS 5pm
Sunday: TBL v FLA 930am, NYR v WAS 12pm.

Lots of early games

I keep thinking the same but people love them. I'm part of a couple Canucks facebook groups where people sell shit and the game worn jerseys even for shit players go for quite a bit.

bobbinka 04-17-2024 08:08 PM

Dallas goes to OT, so they win the conference

That said, I think Naslund doesn't get enough credit for his skill level because he made everything look effortless whereas Miller looks like he's giving it his all whenever he makes things happen.

lol, kind of reminds me of Petey.
Not much emotion, and makes things look easy when he's on.

But when he's not on, it also looks like he doesn't put in effort and gives up on plays.

Safe bet, they 3x the average Lions attendance

I priced out a return flight from YVR to Nashville for games 3 and 4, return flight on United last night with a stop in Dallas was $407.

Tickets look like they're available in the nosebleeds for about $130usd each.

Cheaper to go to Nashville, hotel, eat hot chicken and watch 2 games than 1 game here?

Hondaracer 04-18-2024 08:04 AM

That ain’t gonna work out to be cheaper lol

If you can chalk it up as a trip sure, but 1000% if it’s about saving money, staying in van and even going to both home games would be cheaper lol

68style 04-18-2024 08:19 AM

It's kind of spectacular given what's involved/the amount of adventure you'd experience that it's even close though lol

sonick 04-18-2024 08:44 AM

Nashville has been on my list to visit for awhile now, supposed to be super fun, especially recently I've gotten into country music lol.

spoon.ek9 04-18-2024 08:44 AM

exchange rate is so awful, that's why i never go there. things are basically dollar for dollar but you pay way more simply because USD.

Hondaracer 04-18-2024 08:47 AM

Yea like even if you were to go to “cheap places” (which I would assume Nashville is not) even then it would be $5 USD beers, $20-$30 USD meals etc.

This won't work sadly since Nashville is only allowing local residents to buy tickets...

Hondaracer 04-18-2024 09:15 AM

I’m sure the 3rd party market would be willing to take your money
