Lafferty!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Coilers have a dead crowd, and one of those obnoxious DJ's who plays shitty music constantly |
Canucks tear the Oilers' hymen............... painful for the fans, I bet. Too bad Jaimie Campbell doesn't call hockey games................. he'd bring out the broom and flip it out onto the floor. |
Solid game, defensively tight, physical but not reckless. |
DeSmith with a great bounce back game, he was dialed in early While they didn't destroy Oilers on the scoreboard like the first 3 meetings of the season, they dictated most of that game |
What a snoozefest, but good win none the less. |
pretty sure would've lost that one if Mcdavid was playing |
-good to see the team beat the Coilers using tight defensive play. Always good to see secondary scoring from Lafferty, Suter, and the empty net goal from Joshua. Zadorov played a solid game tonight along with big body checks in the defensive zone. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

man, fucking love it. season sweep against the oilers and basically locked up 1st in the pacific. well played game all around tonight  edit: we outscored Edmonton 21-7 over the course of 4 games :lol |
I thought it was a good game. If it felt sleepy it's because the crowd was asleep except for like 2 minutes of rallying |

Yeah, that's probably exactly how the LA fans justify their games too. 1-3-1 can also be exciting if they're just trying to hang on to a 1 goal lead and the excitement just comes from whether their D structure can be broken or not. At various times, the D gave them a bit too much time to just walk in, especially on the PP. That's why I'm convinced if McD was playing, he would have walked in a few times and popped a few in. But none the less, DeSmith played a very solid game. He can be a good goalie with occasional starts, but he can't carry the workload of a starter. The parity of goaltending at the NHL level is too close on game to game basis, but the consistency down the stretch of weeks and months is where elite and backup start to separate. |
It's a miracle! |
B Mo making a Youtube channel was out of left field for me lol |
I really hope Zadorov is one of the guys who gets re-signed. He’s a presence. |
Agreed. Must signs for me would be Hronek, Joshua, Zadorov. As long as Hronek doesn't price himself out but he's an RFA and Hanifin's contract extension will probably help the Canucks. |
Honestly I only see us signing 1 of those 3 guys strictly just based on how much they could get. |
the Hanifin contract basically guarantees Hronek will land somewhere between 7.5-8M (as was previously expected anyways). I really hope they sign him for max of 7.5M. |
So if playoff started today, would Canucks play Nashville or Las Vegas? |
How does the Hanifin contract help the Canucks? 7.35M and NTC for 8 years for a guy who's never topped 48 points?! Canucks are fucked, Hronek won't take a penny less than 7.5... do you want Hronek at 7.5 until he's 34-35 years old? I don't think so. That guy is going to age like gouda left out on a warm day. |
Assuming we win the division (there's still a scenario where we don't), we will play whoever is in the WC1 spot. Right now, it's Nashville, but it's still possible it could be Vegas or LA. |

He's better than Hanifin tho, so his number definitely starts with an 8 now. Hanifin is super overrated in my opinion. |
Hanafin's take home money is going to be more due to income taxes. I believe BC taxes are around 9% higher than Nevada. So at the end of the day, regardless of caphit which is based on before taxes. Actual net pay will be a factor. They may be taking a lower caphit, and also earning more net. Win/Win and those teams get an edge. |
