If it was made for the US market you don't have to wait 15 years. I imported a 2008 Evo X in 2010

Unicorn alert !! Really liked these back in those days.

2012, Acura TSX wagon, 145K kms (unless it's in miles), US import of course, not sure about asking price of $18K but nice.

Love it. Price is steep though - he's pricing it like a unicorn of course but a similar sedan is more like 12-15k.

Always dreamed of swapping in the J37/SH-AWD from a TL into one of these.

westopher 02-04-2025 06:40 AM

3k over the same sedan seems pretty reasonable to me.

See I keep seeing these and my initial thought is always like.. DAMN, twin turbo V8 for $40K, thats not bad, and its not like super super super high milage

And then my second thought it... holy fuck its 10 yrs old lololol which leads to the thought of... I am frikkin OLLLDDDD AF

Which means I am closer to mid-life crisis car right? XD

If you google that engine or specifically the M6 of that era cuz it has the same one I believe, the first result is a thread on the bmw forums outlining a guys year+ of absolute misery and expenditures hahaha

Sounds glorious. Sweet Jesus :sweetjesus:

https://www.facebook.com/share/15wSfgL11T/ I wonder if this means it's rebuilt. This vs BMW which is more painful

Badhobz 02-08-2025 07:46 PM

if youre gonna go full retard why not just buy a 30k maserati. It'll sound better than all this trash and you'll trick gold digging whores into thinking you're RICH!!!! (well I guess you have to be in order to keep it on the road)

JDMDreams 02-08-2025 09:21 PM

Quattroportes are slim pickings, and grand tourismos are like $50000. The Fiat ones are suspiciously cheap

Canada must have the cheapest golf R compared to the rest of the world when you consider exchange rates. Nicely priced IMO

Also akrapovic exhaust is a $3k option, cheap!

The GTI is a relative bargain when you consider a Civic Si goes for $39k.

Golf R for $51KCAD is a bargain when VWoA is asking $48k USD for theirs (~$68K CAD)

Badhobz 02-13-2025 04:19 AM

Si si. I’m still loving herr hitlers box even with all its flaws. Good for a modern car. Great price. Kinda does everything decent enough. Sporty enough for me, luxurious and tech heavy. User interface is crap but you get used to it.

68style 02-13-2025 06:06 AM

Does the GTI have an open diff?

westopher 02-13-2025 06:24 AM

Yes

Dbone 02-13-2025 08:34 AM

That's dumb. Open diff on a "sporty" fwd is a deal breaker for me. Every time I drove my JCW Mini in the wet I'd light up the inside tire and cringe.

Badhobz 02-13-2025 08:39 AM

it has a LSD, who the fuck said the GTI has an open diff?
