mod of yesterday...

swapped in a turbo with a non fucked compressor wheel that actually holds steady boost above 15psi

thanks to getting shipped the wrong wheel.. no EVO turbo for me this weekend :(

threw on a crazily ported out exhaust manifold with no cracks or leaks like my old one..

modified the downpipe, no more "blender" noise, it actually sounds decent now!

threw on a higher pressure fuel regulator

fuel pump goes in at the track tonight, walbro 255 lph

and c16 goes in my tank tomorrow :)

Ordered in 4 front cv boots and pulled the front axles to put them on. Only took about 20mins to get the axles out. The boots will be going on sunday, and I'll get the car back together by mid-week.

No mom, I'm not watching bukake movies again 09-02-2005 09:55 PM

Got the time off work to go get the 'Liner... booyah only 12 days 11 hours to go woot!

They are affordable and I am using them until mid december and so I thought it had a good balance for the weather changes, hopefully. I already bought 5 lug hub disc brakes and calipers off a 300zx from japan for the front just need the backs and some nice rims and tires and I'm set.

Mod of the day:

Installed new front lower control arms. Ended up not needing them but meh, new bushings are always good I guess. Next are both front tie rod ends and upper control arms.

girlcrazy_420 09-06-2005 07:20 PM

Got the cv boots on. Now its time to put the axles back in and decide what kinda oil I wanna use. Manual calls for 90w gear oil and the forum that supports the car says 5w30 engine oil because the tranny has small passageways and needs thinner oil or some shit like this.

edit: Got the job done minus wheels and the end drive-axle nuts arent torqued yet. I'll find out tomarrow if anything leaks.

whitetalon 09-07-2005 02:03 PM

dont you think we should keep this forum for modifications not maintenance?

TDCRacing 09-07-2005 02:25 PM

Modification

n 1: the act of making something different (as e.g. the size of a garment) [syn: alteration, adjustment]

I believe changing broken parts and replacing them with new ones would classify as modifying as they are different. Even tightening bolts on the car could be considered modifing. They were made different, they were loose, now they are tight.

down_hill_dog 09-07-2005 03:17 PM

not to mention it is a legitimate question. Adam, use GM synchromesh.

fourtirefire 09-07-2005 11:32 PM

installed an axle which i've been without for the last few days... wow i missed being able to hit boost! even for running pig rich.. damn!

FishTaco 09-08-2005 09:23 AM

I just got window tint done from a shop in westbank. I went with 12% because I wanted to be able to see out at night and its still really easy to see through it at night. They have good prices there and their work is awesome, come with lifetime warranty... 5 windows for 160.00 good price in my opinion.

Did you phone them?

They fabricated some in July for their CRX, you'd think they'd be in production by now.

But search honda-tech and make a WTB thread on ef-honda.com.

Tchleung 09-09-2005 04:20 PM

Man fitting a h22a into a EF would be so gay hah. Sure it can be done but damn lol. H series ins't even that great anymore these days. it's al K now.
