How did you break the clutch in? They're going to be really sticky about that.

actually nevermind.. my clutch is fine

it's my rear diff that blew!:(

only got fwd right now.. and the diff is making some nice noises

whitetalon 08-27-2005 06:46 AM

450s are good for 12s so you should have lots of fun left in them and robin toor has a 4bolt rear forsale.

proshoraca 08-27-2005 11:11 AM

apparently theres a buncha awd dsm's in pick a part now. should check it out

Tchleung 08-27-2005 01:59 PM

Installed my side skirts back onto the GS-T along with interior. Also reisntalled the ECU and battery and drove it a bit. yeehaw...

fourtirefire 08-27-2005 02:34 PM

ok well nevermind my initial diagnosis then.. I finally got under there and pulled my right rear cv axle which was a bit loose in the diff.. turns out the splines and last 3 inches of the shaft are snapped off and still in the diff! Luckily there was one awd dsm in pick 'n pull, got my axle shaft for 27 bucks, and threw it in.. Flushed out the diff twice with gear oil, managed to get all the shiny metal out. Threw it all back together, went for a drive, and poof no more 3wheel drive!

I wish I had the 4bolt rear end!

girlcrazy_420 08-29-2005 05:17 PM

Ouch. Whats that caused from?

Put some chevy 350 wires on the tempo along with a few random plugs hoping to get her running a little better from the worn oil covered plugs. Ended up being both a bad spark plug wire and a faulty injector (along with the plug) It finally started to work when I hit the injector with a wrench. Still smokes like a motherfucker with no power in gear. Must be lack of compression :o

fourtirefire 08-29-2005 05:45 PM

a rubber sleeve on the inlet that wasn't clamped down properly due to my own stupidity...
