gorgeous rims, Craig. cdnsc2: that probably the lowest Saturn I've ever seen :lol

as for me...my insanely ground cam (as much as th ECU will handle...apparently idling will be a problem ;)) went in earlier today....pistons, rings, rods, crank, all bearings are in....should be one fun ride ;)

Big Daddy 07-08-2005 10:49 PM

Decided to take the time to work on my beater car a bit.. Repalced the radiator with my spare one, also repalced broken driver side mirror.

fourtirefire 07-10-2005 06:34 PM

did a bunch of tuning in the pits today.. re-routed the boost controller signal line to the intake manifold pressure instead of the turbo outlet elbow, it was causing some nasty boost spikes and fluctuations.

was over-running my MAS and causing a sputtering at WOT so disconnected some breather lines on the inlet tube so I can get more air in that is un-metered, makes up for the black smoke pig rich issues too

fourtirefire 07-12-2005 05:42 PM

ordered up my ACT clutch today from Enhanced with the heavy duty pressure plate and performance street disc, it's rated to 322 ft/lbs of torque, so it should do the job

i'll throw it in friday night...

240sx

Replaced my front tension control rod arms and bushings on my 240. The old ones were shredded and leaking a tiny bit of fluid. Steering feels more accurate now. I can buy a complete energy bushing kit from lordo for $200. Any feedback on their product?

^ ive got it for my teg. be prepaired to have a shit load of headaches if you install them yourself. im still battling with mine but the do make a difference in each little area. and after you go to eurethane you will never have to do them again

nice, i never got around to doing that on my old 240... did you just replace them with oem rods or did u go with an aftermarket ball joint alum rod setup?

NismoKa 07-13-2005 08:59 PM

I went factory replacement for now, the pillow ball review I read said that it was quite a rigid setup. As I'm not doing autox this year i figured I wouldn't need them. Factory was the closest and quickest. *** Racing out of vancouver sells some whiteline bushings for the tc's out of australia. They are supposed to be good but they were a month away...and my front end was too sloppy as is. The season is over for me this year, next year I hope to beef up the suspension a bit. not sure if hicas should be disabled...I like going thru 90 degree corners at 90k without my tires screeching.

Mod of the day: wednesday Iordered new drivers and passenger door panels for the Van, as well as new window cranks and cat's eyes, they came in today and are in place :D. Not bad for free shipping

fourtirefire 07-16-2005 12:19 AM

tore my tranny and old clutch out of my car..
turns out the piece of shit pressure plate was only applying force on 2/3 of the flywheel surface, and upon further inspection.. the pressure plate is collapsed quite nicely, without any signs of overheating either...

cheapie clutches are not the way to go

Big Daddy 07-16-2005 03:12 PM

TDCRacing 07-16-2005 11:53 PM

Due to a small mistake, engine was removed today, tranny popped off, flywheel off, and then reinstalled everything. When I get back from my trip on thursday, I'll make it actually run this year.

Chandler 07-17-2005 10:26 AM

replaced the fan belt today and after that my water pump developed a leak. bummer
